Barbless Hooks?
Is it still a rule that you have to use barbless hooks to fish for salmon? I'm located in Area 11.

I checked out the website you mentioned and it looks like the fish are starting to show up. Now I just need to pick a good day to get out there. Not sure if you are aware but Salmonuniversity.com is a great tool to get weekly reports.

Salmon (Area 11)
Has anyone been catching salmon in Area 11 yet. I heard that they're starting to come in, but I wanted to make sure before I take the boat out.

I know what you mean. I just got a big set of plastics and they all have that tire smell. I still haven't found a way to mask the scent but I might try some of you ideas.

Alaska Fishing Trip
Around July this year I am going to take a trip to Alaska. I was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations on which guides to go with. I will most likely be going for King Salmon.

Worms and Composting
I'm going to start a worm bin and it's pretty cool because they eat pretty much all of your leftovers and turn it into high grade soil. They also reproduce so I'll have a very good source of worms for fishing. Has anyone ever tried this before?
