Bank fishing the Skagit river? tips?
Can anyone give me a good starting point to fish the skagit river from the bank?? I'm moving farther north and usually fish south so I'm not too familiar with north rivers besides Wallace... which is easy just follow the guys with weighted trebles lol

all my fish are on eggs from the samish, even a coho this year, dont know why people think its hard, every time my brother and i go, we limit at the combat fishing spots. my brother has limited within 20 min the last 3 times we went! took me longer but still got 2 i just cast right over the snaggers...

get used to it til you get really good...i have several friends who quit salmon fishing because they got skunked alot...but with anything, you'll only get better and better

i use an 8'6 fenwick hmx as well with a shimano cardiff 200 size. the reel has carbon fiber drag and some other stuff the previous owner put on. i also carry a 7ft shimano spinning rod with a abu garcia reel for really thick areas. for bigger fish i have an ooollldd set up, given to me by my brother...

I was there as well today. It was crowed, but it has been WAY worse before. With so many people fishing and less then 1 foot and 10 foot rods lines are going to tangle everyone once in a while. was there at 645am on the hatchery side, wasnt very crowded but the highway side had 0 people so we went there, got skunked, but we stayed less than 2 hours, this was my first time at reiter. guy there was telling me it hasnt been very good so far, but it will most likely get better, ill be back eve...

General spots for saltwater fishing?
I DO have access to a boat but would rather fish from shore. i want to try my hand at rock fish, cod, etc etc. i mainly do salmon fishing in rivers and trout fishing. Anyone have any advice they can give? i live in edmonds and the closer the better, but i dont mind driving if i have time
