RE:STEELHEAD
Any tips I have never fished for steelhead before. I hear shrimp and jigs is the way to go. Could you recommend pole size or line strength to see if I'm already setup?

RE:squawfish - guess the weight?
We have those on the snake river. I caught one about that size on a spinner once. If you don't want to kill it or turn itin for the bounty just toss it up on the bank. I know around here we have a lot of Musk rats, raccoons, river otters, coyotes and water foul that would love a free fish snack. The...

RE:Your military service...
I joined the military when my wife proposed to me hah. I was working security and wasn't making enough to support two people so I joined the Army to take care of her a month after we were married. I was a Chaplain Assistant (56-Mike) in the Army for about three years. I also did some accounting mana...

RE:Perch Recipes?
My buddy in Mississippi gave me a good recipe for fish fry. Take some yellow mustard and an egg and whip it together, more mustard than egg which just acts as a binder. Now take the fish and put it into the mustard then dip into either flour or cornmeal (I like flour more) then dip it back into the ...

Delyakguy yeah I've expanded my tackle box the last two summers and I have some of those worms everyone fawns over. I am able to rig them texas and wacky but not one bite on them yet... so I don't use them often. But I keep trying just incase. I prefer my grubs any day... but I don't catch huge fish...

RE:Pampa Pond
The report page everyone seems to be using powerbait, is that what you use? We are thinking of bringing worms and maggots this time and see how that fairs. Edit: Also the report page says it's bank fishing only. I have a small inflatable raft does anyone know if we're allowed to use those there? I w...

RE:Grubs:best color, length, and brand?
I usually only fish with grubs haven't got any on those darn senkos everyone talks about. My favorites are two have one light, and one dark. I like to get a bright yellow or green with speckles and a green/brown or pumpkinseed. I try both for 15 casts and see which one they are biting for the day/ev...

State Parks with Bass?
I finally got my Lifetime Veteran's Pass to camp at State Parks for free. Thank you Tax-Payers. So could anyone give me some great parks to fish for bass next summer? I want to start up a nice list now so I can narrow it down with friends and family by next summer/spring.

RE:Pampa Pond
Alright well we hit this pond recently and only got 6 trout all really small around 8 inches probably, they weren't stockers though so it's probably a healthy pond. I'm going to hit this place again with some friends early saturday morning to try again to get a large trout for the smoker.

It's a long thread and maybe I misread some of it and understood other parts. But I would hope any of the information people on this website give me is accurate and honest. If you don't want to tell me don't, but don't lie to me and mislead me because you don't like how I or others fish. I learned b...

Trouchet River
Has anyone ever fished this river? It turns out my family wants to go camping there at Lewis and Clark State Park instead of Potholes. It appears to have some cats and trout in the river but I have never been to the area. Anyone have any tips for fishing in this area?
