4 day Idaho trip

Wasn't sure which forum to post this on since we're hoping to do both lake and stream fishing, but here it goes. My wife and I are taking a camper for 4 days to Idaho to explore and fish. This is our first trip there so its part fishing and part info gathering for future trips. We're thinking about ...

Re: Premium Membership Renewals Discount Rate

Hey Mike,

I just renewed yesterday and you refunded 1/2 of my $24 saying you are only renewing for a 1/2 year now. What's up with that? Are you disappearing and retiring in Cancun or something with your riches from WL? LOL. [razz]

Re: Jetty/Surf Fishing La Push

Sorry it took a little while tell update you guys on what happened out at La Push. First of all, the lodge is amazing both inside and out. What an awesome view. We planned to fish Saturday afternoon/evening/night due to the tides. So, we spent the first part of Saturday exploring back-roads on the B...

Re: Jetty/Surf Fishing La Push

Hey everyone!!! Thanks for all of your replies. I'm talking about fishing both the jetty and the beaches. Why say "or"? LOL. Yes I have experience with this type of fishing all up and down the west coast. I was hoping for some specific info on La Push and Washington coast in general. Love the jetty ...

Jetty/Surf Fishing La Push

Hey, just looking for any stories or input on La Push. My wife and I have a reservation at the lodge in La Push to do some surf and jetty fishing there. Not many people talk about this type of fishing, but its one of my favorite types cause you never know what kind and how big of a fish you can catc...

Re: Lingcod in South Sound

No, we actually ended up launching at Salisbury to the north side of Hood Canal Bridge and fishing around Point No Point and Port Ludlow. Got skunked for lings. But, caught a bunch of flounder and the tide was real low so we scooped up a bunch of butter clams for chowder. Still was a nice day. We di...

Lingcod in South Sound

We live in Renton and want to go lingcod fishing this weekend. I see plenty of stuff on lings from Edmonds north and west but nothing for the south sound. Not to mention nothing at all about halibut down here. Anyone have any suggestions? Articles? Posts? Since its pretty much a one species fishery ...

Kennewick/Pasco

Heading out to one of the few places I've never been, Kennewick/Pasco. Jennifer and I are going there on Friday for 4 days to see her dad and hopefully to get in some fishing. We will probably go Yakima way from western Washington but may take the scenic drive on our way back through the Dallas and ...

1987 Mercury 4 hp in great shape $500

I have a 1987 Mercury 4 hp (model 40) 2 stroke longshaft kicker motor for sale. It starts right up and runs smooth all day. Its perfect as a kicker motor or for a small boat. Sips gas like its not even using it. No damage other then some scratches. I will also sell a new plastic gas tank, hose and c...

Kalama and Lewis Rivers this weekend

Heading down to my favorite river this weekend, Kalama River. I even named my dog after it. Haven't fished it since I've moved to the PS area. Has anyone heard anything from down there? I've looked at the few reports through Google, but not much as far as recent stuff. I would especially like to kno...

Re: Shipping Lanes

That is true G-man. In fact that is what the guy at the Coast Guard sited. They do have the right of passage, but they are also responsible for their wake. I know the point itself is in the shipping lane. But, when you are sitting along the shore, as I said previously, approx. 3/4 of a mile northwes...

Re: Shipping Lanes

Ok, I don't think you guys are reading what I am saying in my post. I was far away from the shipping lane. The wakes don't disapate after leaving the ships. We had finished trolling with all the other boats on the north west side of Robertson point. I'm not ignorant enough to think the ship should g...

Re: Shipping Lanes

I bet that from now on you'll keep an eye out for commercial vessels and their wakes. I'm aware of the shipping lanes and have seen the maps. I know that you have to keep an eye out. That's why I saw it comming and was able to manuver. That's the point. Even manuvering just right, it was still very...

Shipping Lanes

On Sunday, 9/19 my girlfriend, daughter and I went fishing and crabbing out of Redondo Beach. We were trolling at Robertson Point on Vashon Island and we had a very terrifying experience that I would like to know if anyone else has experienced. While trolling with a multitude of other boats, one of ...

Thinking of crabbing/fishing Hood Canal tomorrow

Thinking of crabbing/fishing Hood Canal tomorrow, but not sure if its too early for salmon there. I know the crabbing is good, or at least it was a couple years ago. Would like some input. Should I go for the north or south end? If its early I figured the north end would be better. I've also gotta c...

The crab fishery is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I've been told by some people working for the WDFW that those are the days that the enforcers take their days off for the week instead of Saturday and Sunday. :-$ ](*,)

Upping my saltwater game...

I have many years experience in freshwater boating. I have had a few experiences in saltwater, but mostly out of Redondo area and mostly crabbing although I have done some attempts at fishing... I am fully self taught with boating and fishing. I am at the point where I want to start uping my game in...

Re: Lake Cushman info

Thanks for all of your replies. As far as what am I targeting, mostly kokes and trout. I've heard there are LM in there but it seems like the lake would be too cool for that, but plan on targeting them as well. I know where the stumps are and there are huge bolders as well. I've recond it when the l...

Lake Cushman info

We are heading up to Lake Cushman for Father's Day and my B-day. When I lived over on that side I had fished it a few times with limited luck. Probably becuase I was on the shore and it's a huge lake. I have tried researching, as I normally do, but there really isn't much out there. I have a feeling...
