Re: Hatchery Sturgeon open July 1
I'm heading out to Vantage Friday and Saturday to give this a shot. Looks like I have a shot of catching one based on current reports.

Re: Hatchery Sturgeon open July 1
This is great news! How can you tell the difference between a hatchery and wild sturgeon?

floating device on Duwamish River Rules
Hi all,
The way I read the regs is that you can fish from a boat all the way up to I-405 until November 1st. A guy was yelling at me last week but I didn't have my book with me.
Thanks for any input!
Jo

Fishing the Skykomish River Tomorrow AM (Thursday)
Hitting up the Sky tomorrow, probably Reiter or just below it. Anyone with an open seat or just wants to partner up would be great. I went 0/3 last Friday and hoping to change it. Happy to split costs also.

Sky Opener
Hello Community! Anyone hitting the Sky for tomorrow's opener? This will be my first time fishing the river and I'm wondering what to expect. Will it be slow or should I expect fish running the lanes? I don't mind getting skunked, just don't want to waste time if the opportunity isn't there. Any ins...

Sweet video OneShot! And thanks for the setup tips. Didn't know you could add leader to the weight to give some distance from the bottom.

9-10 ft. Longer is better. The fast the water the longer. Slow moving water I will shorten the leader.

Re: First time on the Puyallup
Corkies and yarn for sure. Up river is your best bet now. Wait for the guy to your down stream side and cast up slightly. Feel the bottom bounce and set at anything that feels off and you'll be ok. I use orange with red yard and do well. Good luck!

RE:pinks
Where are all the pinks? The numbers seem to be way low for this time of year or they are just not here yet. I went down to the Spokane St bridge and didn't see any fish which I usually will see thousands! Is it the lack of rain or the netting in Canada? My spot is usually Lincoln Park but it has be...

Are the Pinks at Lincoln Park (West Seattle) yet?
I’ve gone to Dash Point with hit or miss success and I live in Seattle. I’ve only gone in the evenings over the past few days after work (5-6pm start) and by the time I get there the bites are sparse. I’ve done well at Lincoln Park two years ago but can’t remember when they start biting. I’d rather ...

RE:Still trying for cats in Lake WA
If you take a drive along Lake Washington Boulevard as the sun goes down you will see small groups of people in chairs next to the lake. Watch them, listen to them and befriend them. Remember, at night you don't need to go deep to catch cats. If you feel you need to fish deeper, out of the weeds, h...

Yep I like samammish but the park closes too early. I like evening/night fishing. There are some nice cats in there though.fishin masta wrote:i no there out at lake samammish we always used bobber and worm right off shore and got some pretty decent ones along with some nice bass and perch all in the same area

Herring for shore?
Hi all, I've been to Alki twice and have tried my luck at catch herring. I guess it is hit and miss from what I have learned. One day it was two or three with every cast and the next day... nothing. I am open at trying other areas but don't know where. Is there a timeline for them or do they just mo...

Still trying for cats in Lake WA
I've been out four times in the last two weeks and can't seem to find the cats. I have talked to several anglers and have been directed to spots around Seward. It seems like there are too many weeds close to shore to get into the fish. I've used worms, cheese, garlic sauce, nuggets... don't know wha...

Sorry DUP- Please disregard New Record 29.5lb Steelhead out of the Hoh River
Here is the article: http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/othersports/2008827081_outn08.html I personally don't fault the guy for keeping it and also given the fact that it was bleeding. 45min fight of it's life may have ended it anyways. The Hoh river seems to product some big fish. I'd like to tr...
