A boat that size is probably limited to launching at Horseshoe or Swift Creek but there's plenty of glass boats that size fishing Baker.

Use your Kokanee rods, lots of people do, including myself.

Bank access is limited, but there are a few spots. Look for deeper water, but don't worry if the water is shallow sometimes you find a surgeon in water 6 feet or less. It's possible to land fish from the bank, but the odds of one of these dinosaurs wrapping you up on some sort of snag is very high. ...

The mouth of the river is very shallow. Out of Marysville where it looks lik it opens up and forks stay right all the way to Priest Point do not cut strait thru it's very shallow. Like Mike, I would recommend a 16 footer or bigger, even on calm days the wind kicks up most afternoons.

There's lots of mussels, oysters, and clams in Penn Cove. I've never crabbed there so I can't speak for that. as for camping, Deception Pass State Park has beautiful campground. I'm not sure if there's anything closer though. If I was staying at Deception Pass I'd probably crab at Cornet Bay.

That fish goes home every time on my boat. There's a bit of fin there, but also a distinctly healed scar. With as strict fishing game rules are, I would never hold it against anyone that directed me to release that fish on their boat.

Yep, stay below the Pilchuck with a prop and watch for wood there is lots of it, but for the most part it's easy to navigate. The launch in Snohomish has a very abrupt drop off at lower tides. I've seen a few guys hang their trailer leaf springs on the edge.

I would think the rotary park would be your best bet for a longer ride. On a good tide you could make it quite aways upstream with minimal effort, Most of my coho have come from closer to the Snohomish launch. That parking lot seems a bit safer to me as well, and the tide still pushes through there ...

Thanks oneshot. I hear you on the power bait, but it definitely has it's place. Lake Stevens Kokanee usually satisfy my need for a quick fix. I'm getting excited for the Snohomish Coho too. Keep those videos coming.
