Re: Twin Lakes crappie
Were you on the upper or lower lake? I had a great crappie day on Lower Twin a few years back.

Looks like a squawfish, aka northern pikeminnow to me.

RE:Crockett lake on Whidbey island.
What I remember of Crockett Lake from many years ago is that it is very shallow, muddy, stinky, etc. I think the water in there may be brackish. Looked like about zero fishing prospects.

RE:weyhauser land permision
If you end up getting out to Klaus/Bridges/Boyle, I'd love to hear about it. Used to fish Klaus when I was a kid. I don't remember needing a permit back then. There were some nice Cutthroat and bass and perch as well.

RE:Tiger Mountain - Round Lake and Tradition Lake
Thanks guys. Tradition still looks fishable, but I'm worried it may be going the way of Round Lake. I think the last time I was at Round Lake was about 2 years ago and it was full then so it was just weird to see it totally gone now.

Tiger Mountain - Round Lake and Tradition Lake
Is anyone familiar with these two lakes at Tiger Mountain near Issaquah? I was out there last weekend and Round Lake is completely dried up. It is just a grassy/muddy meadow now. Tradition Lake looked much smaller than I remember and appears to be way down as well. Years ago, Round Lake used to prod...

I don't know of much access around this area except for the long dock at Logboom Park in Kenmore. This area is very shallow but at times you can get some perch and sunfish around there. I also heard of a large (5 pound) largemouth coming out of this area.

RE:Rutherford slough?
I've checked out Rutherford but never fished it. Access looks pretty difficult from what I can see. It looks like part of what used to be open water has turned into swamp/marsh. I've also checked out a few other sloughs in the Fall City/Carnation area that looked like they had easier access and more...

RE:When will LW crappie heat up? (Larsen Lake also)
For those of you who have fished Larsen (Blueberry), is there a way to get a float fube on there? I've always wanted to try it but never checked it out. As for the Aboretum area, I've had good luck off of the floating walkway for perch and sunfish. Also there is a point with a rock shelf at the far ...

RE:secret fishing lake/ponds????
I'd also heard of Halls possibly having some perch and crappie as well. It looks like an inviting little lake but I don't think there is any access. All that I could ever see around it is houses and one large, open property with no trespassing signs. If you try Mini Park on 200th, there is another l...

RE:secret fishing lake/ponds????
The pond you are talking about off 196th is Scriber Lake I think. I'm not sure where you can put a float tube in on that little lake. Maybe around the dock. It is boggy with thick vegetation. Scriber Creek flows out of Scriber Lake and feeds 2 smaller ponds that are on either side of 200th.

RE:secret lake in the Shoreline area.....
It sounds like you could be talking about Hidden Lake that is near Innis Arden and Shoreline CC. If so, there are a couple of old reports you can look up from 2001.

Swofford Pond in Lewis County has put out some big channel cats in the past. Another place east of the mountains is the mouth of the Walla Walla river where it enters the Columbia.

My favorite lure for multi-species is a 2" power grub with an 1/8th ounce jighead. Favorite colors are pumpkinseed/orange, pumpkinseed/green, and all pumpkinseed. I've caught largemouth, smallmouth, crappie, perch, sunfish, walleye, and some nice rainbow trout on these lures. I love going to lakes w...

Shadow Lake/Beecher Lake
Sorry, I missed out on the discussion a few months back about Shadow Lake and Beecher Lake near Clearview. While these lakes aren't a secret, I used to consider Shadow Lake my own little secret even though it is in a park. I first fished Shadow back in 2004. There is a large variety of fish in this ...

RE:Looking For Bass Fishing Buddies ?
I would be interested in meeting up with some people for bass fishing. I am a float tuber but would also be interested in riding along with someone who has an open seat. I'm in south Snohomish County and am always excited to learn about different lakes and techniques. Along with bass, I enjoy catchi...
