Greenlake Alum Treatment

Just saw a story indicating that alum treatment is going to be done on Greenlake beginning April 4: http://www.myballard.com/2016/03/30/nearby-news-green-lake-alum-treatment-to-begin-next-week/ Couldn't find any information indicating whether there would be any fishing or boating restrictions while ...

Re: Bass Pro item return question..

If you just want to turn the BPS card into cash, you can sell your gift cards at those Coinstar machines for cash. Sure they take a cut, but it might be less than the value of your time and the hassle of doing a purchase and return.

Re: hypothetical situation, or not..

Seems like it might meet the letter of the law, but not the spirit. I don't think I would take the chance on some warden interpreting it the same way as me.

It's raining trout!

Got a kick out of this story of a trout that fell from the sky in the Green Lake area:

It doesn't, Motoboat. There is still a $2.50 dealer fee.

Re: Free Cardboard Recycling Of Cardboard In Woodinville?

If you put them up as "free moving boxes" on craigslist you'll probably have someone come by within a few hours to get them. We had great luck getting rid of our moving boxes that way the last couple times we moved.

Carrying your fishing rod on your bike or back

I am thinking ahead to the Spring and Summer when I am going to want to ride my bike more. I live near enough to a couple of fishing spots that I could bike there. Does anyone have a good solution for lashing a rod to either my bike or my back, so I can ride my bike to go fishing? I've seen a couple...

Fishing log/journal

Now that the new year is here, I thought I might start keeping a fishing log. Those of you that keep fishing logs, do you use paper, a spreadsheet, fishing log software, or maybe an online site? Any recommendations?

Re: Combo License Upgrade - Ever done it?

I am fairly certain your going to piece meal your licenses going forward. I have added a saltwater license to an existing freshwater license purchased at a earlier time and the option of a combo price was not an option. Plus there was no discount for adding the crab when fresh and salt licenses are...

Re: LESSONS LEARNED, Things You Do Only Once

That reminds me of the time my friend of my dad's took us out boating. It was a long time ago, so I don't recall exactly, but it was maybe an 18' aluminum boat. We went through the locks, and there was a tug boat ahead of us. It took up the whole width of the small lock. The Army Corps guys were war...

RE:Whats the story behind your screename?

Gort is the alien robot in one of my favorite old movies, The Day the Earth Stood Still. It's a name I've used around the web for a while. Toward the climax of the movie, he is stopped from destroying the Earth when given ...
