Hey guys!
Haven't posted in a while and I could use some help. Is it too low to drift the Sky from Sultan to Lewis tomorrow? Thanks for the help .

Wild Steelhead Abuse!
Thought the title might get a few extra views :^o . I saw this posted by fishing addicts northwest and thought I should share with all of you. I've always known not to take wild metal out of the water, but this sheds light on some things that I hadn't considered (post-adrenaline rush of catching a w...

Re: Cal
David, you bailed?! Lame! Haha my uncle is nuts about fishing and he lived in California for 30 years. King salmon, halibut, shark, striper.. You name it! What area did you move to? I'll ask him about it. I've seen you slay and I personally believe it would be unhealthy and detrimental to your adole...

Re: 2013 Humpy Fishing Bloopers and Blunders
I can definitely contribute! Had a 1/2oz cannonball come flying back at me while fishing the Puke with barbless hooks and hit my pole dead center. I looked at my friend and said, "You know what sucks? I could probably look up and down this rod for 10 minutes and not find a mark, but I'll bet it brok...

Re: Stay safe on the Puyallup today! Or better yet, stay ho
I was out today and completely agree, everything is underwater. I found a spot I could fish where I had trees upstream of me blocking anything major from traveling into my path and was only up to my knees in eddy-like, slow back-current. In the main river 50ft out from me, though I saw entire trees ...

Re: 45 Pound Skagit Chinook on a Twitchin Jig
Holy cow, Danny! What an amazing fish! I really had no idea they got over 40 in that system still! Nice work as always, but really exceptional job getting that in on humpy gear and a cruddy jig!

Re: heading to the puyallup tomorrow
I know they are netting it the 2nd and the 3rd, but I am planning on going on the 4th. My question is, how much of an effect will the netting have on the following day (s)? Its been lights out and im wondering if that means that it will still be nuts after they drag the river for two days straight?

Re: Skykomish Pinks!
Good question, Woady! I'm really not sure why they return to the hatchery. I know I got my first pinks of the season July 22 while fishing hoodsport. The hatchery was crawling with them! And if you look into September's hatchery escapement from 2011, it looks like they will get a lot more than 4800 ...

Skykomish Pinks!
Well, the hatchery escapement reports for Sunset Falls on the Sky was at 245 pinks on August 15. As of today, they have received 4800+! Big difference this week and it should be lights out by the upper river opener for us bankies on the 1st! I was pretty excited and thought I would share.

I'm in. If we figure out the dates early enough, I could request it off from work to make sure I can be there. Great idea!

Right on, FP thanks. Trust me, I Google map everything. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't accessing any private land on my way down there.

Re: Skok
Hate to beat a dead horse here and I understand at this point its a little off topic, but regarding access to the mouth of the Skokomish river.. Is it in fact just a matter of following Purdy cutoff to the lowest point and walking it down? Any info would be helpful, thanks as always.

On another note, would anyone be willing to share something with me? I have fished the skok a couple of times, but how do you get down to the mouth? My friend will be trying it Monday or Tuesday morning. Thanks!

Re: Its Almost That Time
Just grabbed 130 of these guys for 80 cents a piece. I got 90 in 3/8oz and 40 in 1/2oz in a slightly different skirt (still waiting for them to arrive). I am having a really difficult time finding some non-skirt pink-slaying jigs for a decent deal anywhere and I am beginning to stress a little. Does...
