I'm fishing the Satsop in a couple of weeks. I hear they get a pretty good silver and chum run. Does anyone know what they use to hook the silvers?

RE:How Do You Setup A "Corky" And Yarn?
I heard corky and yarn setups are effective because the line flosses through the fishes mouth. The yarn sticks to the teeth or slides through the gill plates this is when you feel the fish. When you set the hook your basically just snaggin it in the mouth or outside of the mouth. The fish is not act...

Mouth of Nisqually
Trying the mouth of the Nisqually for the first time. Can anyone give advice on catching kings there? I heard mooching and trolling are popular out there. What's a good depth to fish in and what works good for trolling?
Thanks

RE:willapa bay for pontoon fishing
I'm assumming you're going for Kings... fish with a droper weight 1-5oz depending on current just make sure you are on the bottom in the inner bay. For bait use a cut plug or whole herring trolled beind a cone flasher... Some people use divers but unless you want to pick eel grass off your diver eve...

RE:Sea Run Cutts
I have my best luck with Lake Sam cutties in fall/winter.. but I guess I've never tried in Spring because to many other fish to go after and in Summer the lake is taken over by wake boarders. When fishing for them I troll orange label herring set at 12-25ft on the downrigger (Let out alot of line be...

Lingcod fishing- Edmonds Breakwater
I've been skunked the last two Ling openers at Possesion and Hat so this opener I thought I'd give the Edmonds breakwater a shot.
Does anyone know how the ling fishing is there?
What depth?
Is it better to fish it on incoming or outgoing tide?
Thanks

RE:Mooching for Salmon
If your mooching for Blackmouth its important to have some tidal movement but not to much that you can't get your bait on the bottom (6-8 ft tidal change seemes to be just about right). I like mooching with keel weights anywhere from 3-6 oz in 90 to 120ft of water. I prefer to use herring over artif...

Everett Boat Launch- Sells Herring?
Hi,
Does anyone know if the tackle shack at the Everett Boat Launch is currently selling herring on the weekends? I know its open during the summer but was planning on going Blackmouth fishing this weekend. Would rather not have to make a extra stop if I don't need to.
Thanks
