Re: Shoreline fishing only for Salmon in MA9 But...
I would bring a casting rod and some buzzbombs for sure for pinks. They should be starting to show any day.

Re: Shoreline fishing only for Salmon in MA9 But...
If anyone else was wondering, here is what I got back from WDFW... By definition, shoreline fishing means you can only fish while standing on shore or a pier or jetty but not within a floating device (i.e., boat). to your question, if you can use a boat to travel to a beach, fish, then return home. ...

Re: Shoreline fishing only for Salmon in MA9 But...
You would think it would be the other way around, the game warden better bring his go pro to prove I caught salmon from the boat. Innocent until proven guilty right? But I see what you mean.

Shoreline fishing only for Salmon in MA9 But...
Shoreline fishing for hatchery coho and pinks only at the moment, but can a guy motor his boat to a shoreline and get out and fish from the beach to get away from the crowds? Has anyone called WDFW and asked? I don't see anything in the regs or emergency rules that says you can't.

Re: Area 9 Likely To Open January 16th.
I didn't fish the opener but fished Mid-Channel last Sunday morning. Found a couple of shakers and that was about it. Didn't see anyone catch anything of any size although I'm sure someone did. I have had better luck in area 6 this year.

Re: Veteran Steelhead Trip Giveaways
You are a stand up guy Danny. I don't know if you are running your boat this Saturday out of Forks but I put my name in for that with TFO. If I'm picked I hope to be on your boat! Thanks for doing what you do for the Veterans. We all appreciate the opportunity to fish with you and anyone else who vo...

Re: Deception Pass
I hear the Skagit is producing and all those fish went through the Pass. I can't imagine they go all the way around Whidbey and back up but maybe they do? I don't know man, it's been a strange year for for me. We also ran down just north of BP and to Lagoon Point. Picked up a pink at Lagoon and saw ...

Re: Deception Pass
Saturday 29 boats with 67 Anglers had 4 kings 6 Coho and 90 pinks Sunday 36 boats with 84 Anglers had 10 kings 2 Coho and 101 pinks Not everyone here fished the pass though since you can't retain Kings in the actual pass. I haven't fished the pass this year yet but plan on hitting it tomorrow evenin...

Re: the limit for salmon on the puyallup???????
I see both sides of the argument. If I was to fish there, I'd call WDFW like Larry said. I think Stacie works for WDFW and I saw her post this on Facebook. Stacie Kelsey August 10 at 11:22am · Gresham, OR. I received a response from Oly on the Puyallup 6 fish limit rule and how it applies to Pinks: ...

Re: Point No Point & Bush Point Beach Fishing
HAHAHA! Thank you for that laugh this morning. To get back to your question, the closest town is Freeland or Greenbank . Bush Point will be on the western shore on WHIDBEY Island near those towns.aceshi21 wrote:where exactly is bush point? I know it's on whiskey island, but where on the island?

Re: Point No Point & Bush Point Beach Fishing
I fished bush point to lagoon point from Thursday to Sunday and pulled pinks out of there every day. Lagoon is the next point north of bush. Small public beach there and then the next spot that is good is the pumphouse aka driftwood park. All have great shore fishing for pinks and silvers. It's not ...

Fished several areas from Bush Pt. to Ft. Casey. They are everywhere. Funny thing is we didn't see any jumping.

They are definitely in area 9! Got six to the boat yesterday and lost a few more. We had to work for them but they're there.

Re: Crabbing question
What's the problem? You limited out right? We got limits for 6 people, using four pots two days in a row with crab buoys all around ours. One pot was picked clean too. As long as i get my limits and My pot doesn't get stolen, there's nothing to be complaining about. That's just me though.

Re: Skagit River Sockeye - any luck?
I fished from 0500 to 1800 or so yesterday. Saw a handful caught in the morning and one in the afternoon. One guy got lucky and caught two next to me. Had a nibble her and there and hooked into something small then it spit the hook.never even saw the fish.

In the trees along the river bank. Also since the rivers are low look on snags and scuba dive the river beds. Free lures/line/swivels/hooks. You can't buy a pack of hooks for less than a buck. Yard sale maybe.

Re: 2006 alumaweld stryker outboard
C-money, with two adults and a full gas tank (38gal), I'm going 25 or 26 mph on the GPS with little or no current (which is rare). Going against the tide I go about 21mph. When I was looking for a used boat, I had the mind set of getting only something that had a Honda, Suzuki, or Yamaha. All three ...

Re: 2006 alumaweld stryker outboard
60hp Yamaha 4 stroke. I ran from Deception pass to Lopez Island and running around all in between last weekend. I figured around 20 miles or so. Used just over 4 gallons of fuel. The guy I bought the boat from installed a wale tail on the motor and he said it makes a huge difference. He said he woul...
