Re: Decent bass lakes in Kitsap/Jefferson/Mason/Thurston cou
St. Clair offers a bunch of places to launch. This is handy because there is a lot of shoreline to cover. Its mostly a numbers lake for me with fewer quality fish and lots of 10 to 13 inchers. The lake is surprisingly deep so it doesn't weed up as bad as the shallower lakes nearby.

Re: Fall bass Fishing
For me, fall is go-big or go-home time. The fish are trying to put on weight, so I prefer bigger baits and I agree with a previous poster to keep it horizontal. I'm typically throwing cranks, spinnerbaits, and jerk baits. I'll keep a rod with a 5 inch senko wacky rigged available as well.

Re: Will purchase a small 4 stroke outboard. Need help!
Just make sure you dont buy a high thrust motor for a small boat. Those motors are designed to push weight. The motor dealership can coach you up on that. I havent heard how people are doing with the fuel injected Suzuki motors. I have a Yamaha 9.9 that fires up easy and runs great. However, its an ...

The fall is a fun time to get into some aggressive fish. I try to enjoy it while it lasts.

Re: Taking Kids Fishing!
Good on you for taking the kids out. When I was in highschool, a guy saw me tossing a jerkbait from the bank and invited me onto his bass boat. We caught all sorts of fishand I've been hooked on bass fishing ever since. He was my fishing buddy through college until I moved away. Kids don't forget

Forcing Yourself to Fish New Techniques
When I first started bass fishing, I was completely focused on fishing fast and covering water in mostly shallow lakes for LMB. Spinnerbaits, Jerkbaits, Lipless Cranks, and topwater covered 80% of my fishing with the last 20% being texas rigged plastics and unweighted plastics. I would only fish pla...

Re: Shadow Raps / Scatter Raps / XRaps
I havent had any luck with x-raps vs balsa jerkbaits like the Rapala Original. I found a bunch of shadow raps and scatter raps on sale at Dicks 4 for $3 each.

Re: What do bass eat?
Is there a better way then guessing? I want to focus on quantity of fish right now that aren't dinks. I found out that a bunch of lakes were shock tested for warmwater enhancement studies in the early 2000's. Ive been able to find some of these reports with google and it determines the biomass by p...

G Loomis 861s TJR Ultralight Trout Jig Series Rod
I would like to sell a lightly used G Loomis Trout Jig series GL2 spinning rod. It is 7'2 and rated 2-6# test. Comes with Shimano Sahara 750 spinning reel, also in great condition. Throws a 1/8oz spinner a mile, great for using small jigs for trout and panfish. Located near Olympia, WA. Asking $125 ...

Re: To sell, or not to sell
Sounds like a great setup. I hate to put more money into mine with the feelings I have about it right now. I could be the only guy in the.world who wants a smaller boat!

Re: To sell, or not to sell
I just bought a bigger truck yesterday. Ill be interested to see how an extra 140hp does on hills towing my boat. I wonder how much I could ask for my boat and remain reasonable. Its a 2014 model with 2014 yamaha F115 and T9.9 electrit start and trim. Sits on a Rogue welded trailer with load guides....
