Re: GREEN RIVER
Bro in my experience coho on green are way more lock jaw and harder to entice than any other river system I've fished

Wtb- 15hp outboard
This might be a long shot but it's worth a try. I'm in the works of getting a Gregor by next summer. Therefore I'm looking for a 15hp 2 stroke, I'm liking the mercurys and evinrudes, that any one is willing to sell at a $200-$300 price for me who is on low budget and new to the boating scene. Prefer...

Hope a fish biologist will weigh in, I'm just speculating.

Re: Gas not reaching carb
Its not that difficult to find ethanol free gas stations (I have two apps for that) but it is more expensive for the gas. About an extra $.50/gal last time I checked. However, I havent had to replace any lines, bulbs or filters(as often) since I switched over. Plus every gas engine I have starts, i...

Re: Gas not reaching carb
Thanks brothers for all your inputs. So before tearing everything up apart again. I decided to give it another try. Yesterday, I pumped primer ball horizontally and it didn't get hard at all. Just earlier from returning from work. I pumped primer ball vertically and it got hard. Drumroll please!!! P...

Re: Gas not reaching carb
Several possibilities. Are you running ethanol fuel or non-ethanol? Ethanol fuel can eat hoses and bulbs if they are not the correct type. All the new ones are supposed to be safe with ethanol but some really are not so good - especially the cheap bulbs and hose sets. First thing to check is the ta...

Gas not reaching carb
Today, I felt like warming up the outboard after a long winter. I changed the hose from my 6.5 gallon gas tank as well. Tank-filter-primer-connector Plug in, open vent, 3 pumps, pull choke, 2 pulls, push choke 2 pulls... nothing. Hmmm...repeat process 3 more times with nothing Checked spark, check. ...

Re: Green river chum
I can vouch for myself that I was close to the bottom, but not too close. Probably a foot off bottom.
That's good info to know TyeeMatt, I'll have to do that.

Re: Green river chum
He probably had some purple cure going on the prawns, likely making them stiffer so they stayed on the hook longer than a raw/cooked shrimp, but I'm suspecting that it wasn't the prawns but where he was situated at the top of the hole. If you have the stretch of river to yourself, always stop at th...

Green river chum
Went to green river in the kent and auburn area today to try some early chum from the last rain. I wasn't surprised to find no cars or fisherman in site with the no coho retention. Sort of scared me for a bit so I reread the emergency rule and phew! Threw bobber n 1/4oz jig (black/purple/pink) with ...

Yes I did, he was drifting eggs also. His leader, judging from my view, was probably 5ft.lidong6 wrote:Hi Big-Fish91, what kind of setup is that guy using? did you see that?

Re: Drifting eggs setup
Thx all!
Ill definitely lighten the main line and play around with the lead sizes.
Probably have to bring other egg cures to play with as well.

Re: Drifting eggs setup
Yes that makes sense. The flow is moderately fast, if that makes any sense. It's about 5-9ft deep as wellspokey9 wrote:dpending on current speed, may be too much lead for a good presentantion. i use as little weight as possible. at times, if the flows allows, use a single split shot or no weight.

Anyone been having any luck. Had to change my brakes on my car the last two days (don't get me started) and haven't fished at all. It's been good actually. Been seeing continuous runs of fish from 11am-8pm the last 2 days. Well I'm a lot lower into the system but friends have told me its been prett...
