Re: Where did all the pike fishermen go?
We will be heading up Oct 13 for 4 days. We are not exactly the worlds best pike fishermen, so dont take our probable lack of catching as the final word. ;)

Two full days, 88 views and no comments either way?
I fully expected to get blasted by the anti-maskers, but I did not expect crickets.
Mike, Rob - no comment at all?

ScuttleButt fishing contest - covid safe???
I just saw the big add/announcement on the home page about the Coho fishing trip with Rob and Mike - sponsored by Scuttlebutt. Its scheduled for later this month. I'm just wondering how big this boat is? How will they maintain at least 6 ft between everyone on the boat? Will everyone wear masks all ...

Re: New to fishing in washington
Shoreline access in Wa state is tough. There are fewer places each year and more people trying to use them and fewer fish to catch and fewer legal times to catch them. I dont bank fish, so I dont have any specific recommendations for you. You could look through reports, but very very few people are ...

Yeah, you absolutely, positively, 100% must have an accurate tach and good GPS speed info if you want to experiment with changing prop pitch/diameter/blade count etc.
Google Prop Slip calculator and read up on it.

Re: Oh Man, No Fishing for Me!
No problem. Just tell them you want a Ram 250 for a loaner while they fix your truck
Sounds like yours may be totaled - beyond what insurance will pay to actually fix - if that much went wrong all at once. You may be getting a new truck!

Re: question about livescope power use
Keep in mind that the big motor wont put out the full 50 amps unless your running at full throttle. Your going to need to run it well above idle to get decent output from the alternator. Thats going to use a fair amount of gas, be noisy for any neighbors, etc. Also, how far down the batteries get dr...

Re: Question about hook holder?
Interesting idea - but why not just use one of the eye's already on the pole? Some of my poles have a small metal loop down near the real seat for that purpose, but not all of them. You would also need to be careful where you put it or it might fowl the line when casting - depending on the type of r...

Re: New 2020 regs?
Is the content of these pamphlets available online, or should they be found locally? Because I was planning a holiday for which I'd rent one of these houses in Washington state, and that holiday would naturally involve fishing, so I need to be aware of what can and cannot be done. The links above -...

Re: Sturgeon fishing near longview
Its been many years now, but we caught a few in the back channels around the various islands in that area. You can find them pretty much everywhere along the river. Look for deeper holes or seams in the current out of the main flow.
Good luck!

Re: New 2020 regs?
Ok, Im stupid and didnt scroll down far enough. The download says "Sport Fishing Rules Pamphlet Corrections and Updates/Clarifications" , but that is only the fisrt page. If you scroll down far enough you can see its also has the full regs attached. Confusing if you havnt had enough coffee.

Re: New 2020 regs?
Its still not fixed for me. When I click on the 2019-2020 regs link, or the one from the home page, I get the corrections PDF - Sport Fishing Rules Pamphlet Corrections and Updates/Clarifications - not the new regs themselves.
Do you guys actually get the new regs or the corrections PDF?
