Northwest Fishing Reports

I grew up on the Sky and we would have huge bon fires on the beaches with no trouble from the law as long as we packed out any garbage. They might complain if a burn ban was in effect ect.

I am almost positive I can make it, and with a friend or two.

A few years ago, I grabbed my fly rod and vest, hopped on the motorbike to try to catch the evening bite on the Foss River. That is some bright chromage Cozmo! I fished on the Sky at the crack of dawn, across the river from the wallace, My friend and I did not catch anything but seen a couple of the boats hook up. It was a good morning to be out though.

I "fished" near the hatchery on Monday evening. I seen many coho caught, a couple summer runs and what seemed to be winter runs. As for my self, i hooked something, it ran down stream and a nick in my main line snapped. With my broken back and rain starting to come down, I just hoofed it out of there.

There is a lot of room for casting at the mouth if not too many people are down there. The rest is pretty brushy, but you can do it.

Be careful in that mud, last time I was there I sank a bit to deep and tore a hip muscle getting out.
