RE:Don't Blame those "greedy oil companies"
The one thing you won't let go of is bio-diesel is a term. The main pull for corn, switchgrass and sugar cane is to make mainly ethanol not bio-diesel as the article you are referring to says. Ethanol is not bio-diesel bio-diesel is not ethanol, ethanol was a replacement for normal gas. http://en.w...

RE:Don't Blame those "greedy oil companies"
Maybe I should be more specific, I thought sugar canes can only grow in FL within US borders. What's the point of replacing one source or energy with another if it has to be imported anyway? I never said anything about ANWR. I said Off shore drilling, as in Outer Cotinental Shelf drilling in say, FL...

RE:Don't Blame those "greedy oil companies"
Oil is a finite resource, but I agree that there is also a major refining problem. As for the "fat" as you call it, countries all over the world have started to produce commercially bio-fuels. Not based on checken fat on a commecial scale, from veggie oil maybe, but then you have the food vs. energy...

RE:Don't Blame those "greedy oil companies"
I never cease to amaze me the small thinking people. We already have people that go around to clean up grease traps from a restaurant that either sells it to be recycled or does it themselves. You say that there are no plants that can be producing commercially]There is no oil shortage[/b]. Here I w...

RE:Don't Blame those "greedy oil companies"
That's fine they are looking into that, but unfortunately that's not going to move ships any time soon. Yes you do use the kernel to make biodiesel for first generation biofuel. There is a second generation biofuel that would only use the waste products, but there is not a single plant in the world ...

RE:Don't Blame those "greedy oil companies"
Food prices are already at a record high, and is being blamed for starvation in Ethiopia. You want to use more land to grow crop for bio diesel instead of food? That's going to be a hard sell. Besides almost all biodiesel is B20, so you still need 80% fossil fuel.

RE:Don't Blame those "greedy oil companies"
There's no logical reason for not drilling off shore, aside from some misconception that the big oil companies apparently almost intends to spill some oil on purpose. Denmark, Norway, Holland & Germany; countries generally considered at the top of the list when it comes to being environmentally cons...

My best bet would be Eloika, or Long Lake if you have a boat. Even better would be to go to Lake Coeur D'Alene, but gas and license adds up these days. I also heard Hauser has good crappie fishing, but I've never fished there.

RE:Long Lake topo map
There used to be a map store on the corner of Howard and Sprague in Spokane, but I haven't been there for a couple of years so I'm not sure if it still exists. If it does that might be a good bet to find something.

RE:Indiana Jones 4
Both my wife and I were sorely dissapointed. Maybe our expectations were too high, but the plot were not very good, the ending predictable and some of the stunts over the top. I'd wait until it comes out on DVD.

RE:Obama and Clinton
I see where you're coming from, but I don't think McCain believes war is a good thing, rather a necessity sometimes. Is he more willing to Obama to rattle the saber? Yeah, but when it comes to dealing with countries like Iran and Syria I think that's necessary. You can see how far the current diplom...

Pend Oreille shore access
Does anybody know where one can fish the Pend Oreille river from shore? I've heard there's a place up somewhere between Newport and Cusick by a slough, but would like to narrow it down to something more specific.
Thanks.
Thanks.

That, and probably also the knowledge that both countries would be devastated by a nuclear war.

Gisteppo, This is what I wrote: I guess my point of view then would be that Obama wants to pursue a line of appeasement with same countries now that we're exaggerating anyway. Please notice the last two words. I guess it's all a matter of wording. Saying that McCain want's to fight the countries men...

The conditions should improve, but if the weather is too nasty when you go there I can recomend Hayden Lake. It's stunning, and the docks are very nice. I did not go to the one mentioned by TroutCowboy, but there's another public area up at the north end of the lake. If you google map Hayden Lake it...

RE:Obama and Clinton
Oh how about Iran for starters, North Korea, Syria... Really? I don't recall seeing him advocating starting a war with any of them, but maybe I missed it. Unless of course you mean that he prefers a more confrontational line with those countries as opposed to Obama. I guess my point of view then wo...

RE:Panhandle Pike
Well, no pike this year either. We went to the south end of LCD'A, but the ramp was flooded, and we could not get out there. Tried from shore, but no bites, plus it was wet and windy. We tried two other docks on the southern end, and while we got out on both, it was just too cold to fish, especially...
