Eastern Wa. Muskie lakes
To all of those experienced muskie hunters out there, what are some good eastern Washington lakes to hit for targeting tiger muskie? I've never targeted them and I want to give it a shot this year. Also, some suggestions for tackle would be greatly appreciated.

RE:Opening Day: Where are you gonna be????
Ahh, I'll most likely get spending opening day at home. The weather over here on the east side isn't going to be the greatest plus I've still got a cast on my right hand.
I'll still have plenty of time to hit it after the hand is all healed up.

4" curly tail grub rigging... suggestions please.
I picked up some 4" curly tail grubs today and I was wondering what would be the best way to rig it. Should I Tx. rig it, put it on a jig head or maybe on a belly weighted hook?

I just broke my casting hand (right hand) last week but I'm still going to find a way to wet the lines this weekend. I've been waiting for too long for good weather, I'm not going to let it pass me up.

Nice job! Saw the question about painting and know that youtube.com has some videos you may want to check out. If you just search on powder coat painting fishing lures, you'll find a bunch of hits. Here's one. Powder coating fishing lures Again, nice job! Cool videos. I think I'm going to have to g...

RE:My first homemade lure
Looks like it could be a killer twitch bait for trout and such. Also it may have a twirling erratic drop. That's what I'm hoping for. I was thinking of something where the full lure spins not just a blade. I'm going to play with a few different sizes and colors and see how it works out. I'll let yo...

So for a little while now I've been wanting to try my hand at making a couple lures. Wow, thanks again guys. I really appreciate the wealth of knowledge that you guys are sharing. I've got a much better understanding now and I think I know what I want to do. Once I find one that I'm comfortable with I'm going to get a lefty, put a little heavier line than what I use for trout, and p...

What's the best type of baits to use for drop shotting? Is it mostly for soft plastics or could you drop shot a crank bait too?

You can't go wrong with the Shakespeare Ugly Stik rod and reel combo from Wal-Mart. Good strong rod, solid reel, inexpensive set up.

Spinning vs. Bait Cast
For as long as I've been fishing I've always used spinning reels. Now that I'm working on building up my gear for bass I have noticed that a lot of bass anglers use bait cast reels. Is there a real difference or is it more of a personal preference? What, if any, are the pros and cons?

RE:What are your goals for this year
Mine is to experience allot of different lakes and throw new baits, Besides catching allot of bigger fish then I did last year I'd have to say that I'm right along those same lines. I want to hit some new lakes, throw some new baits, and I think my fish goal is to get a 6 pounder LMB. I think I can...
