Re: Rufus Woods boat launches
If the coyote creek launch you are referring to is the one near the net pens it is free but you need a wdfw access pass. Its been awhile since i have used it but i recall it being shallow so if you have a large boat i would use seatons grove. Good luck put there.

Re: Lake Roosevelt Walleye, Burbot and Rainbow Turnament
Thanks YJ guide service for putting on the fishing tournament. The burbot success for most was hindered due to the ice on the spokane arm but the trout fishing was decent and the chilli feed was great
I think a good time was had by all.

Re: Fishing at Brewster advice needed
Kyle jones has a good sockeye tutorial on his website. There is a launch right in Brewster. That is the most popular. There is also a rough launch up the Okanagan river small boats use. There is also decent launch down the river in Pateros. The main fishing area is near the mouth of the Okanagan riv...

Re: Can I get some details how to fish lead line
With 18# line it should be about 5' deep per color. I found that is true for the first 3-4 colors. Deeper than that I use down riggers or cannonball weights.

Re: Rock Lake
I went there last Friday evening. The water level is up. The launch is the same as it has always been. Plan on bringing rubber boots or waders. It looks like improvements have been done to the parking lot. Oh and by the way the trout fishing is good. Have a great time.

Re: Hell's Canyon Steelhead
Heller bar is where they put in at. You just need a vehicle use pass. If you have a Washington fishing license you were given one. I haven't been there in awhile but I used to be a banking steelhead fisherman there. It's a great area to fish.

Thats too bad, I bought a fethastyx figuring they had a good warranty. I sent a lamiglas in almost 2 months ago and have yet to see it nor will they answer the phone or respond to my email.

There are no longer any walleye there. The wdfw rehabitated the lake a few years back and made it a trout lake.

Re: What Line do you use for your....
If you intend to fish for salmon keep in mind braid will hold scent. If you use braid be careful where you store your reels so the braid does not absorb unwanted odors. I try and put a lot of effort keeping my gear clean and it has helped my success rate significantly.

I still have a lot to learn about fishing for burbot so my entry fee will probably just be a donation but I would be willing to participate plus I like chilli.

Re: fish on rod holder?
On my last boat I had a mix of fish on, scotty and cabelas rod holders. The problem i ran into was the scotty and cabelas would work in the fish on sockets but the fish on rod holders would not fit in the scotty or cabelas sockets-they were slightly larger. So ever since then i have steered clear of ...

You can launch across from fort spokane at two rivers and it is free. You just have to walk a little further to get to your tow rig.

Im not a ob jet expert but 80 hp seems a little low for a 19' boat. Don't forget to consider how many people will be in the boat, gear, and fuel. My vote is for a inboard v8.

Re: Brewster/Bridgeport report
i fished there thurs, fri, and sat. As the days went on the fishing got worse. I suspect that the storm on wed has pushed a lot of fish up the Okanagan river. On sat I fished from 5 am to 730 and never saw 1 fish caught and yes there were plenty of boats out there. I did fish last friday (the day af...

Im not 100% sure but I think hondas use a low oil pressure protection system. Maybe your oil pressure is dropping or sensor is going bad and making engine shut down @ low idle.

That's a Rufus Woods triploid. I see them sometimes in the Spokane area grocery stores marketed as steelhead also.
