Trolling motor battery

Hello,

I would like to buy a trolling motor (30lb) to my small boat. My concern is the battery. What to look for? What would be the performance of regular car battery? Is there a big difference between deep cycle and regular car battery?

Thanks
Mario

RE:Stilly

There was more fish jumping before the rain that it is now. It can be due to high water but there is sign of fish in kayak point. I would not expect to much. Maybe steelhead will show up after the rain.

RE:Even year humpy

By the way, I saw sockey salmon cought in the upper stilly on fly. Us I know Alaska pinks spawn in even years, maybe they are one of them? They could follow other salmon in the ocean. Interesting affair. The more fish in the river the better protection for endangered species too.

RE:Salmon/Steelhead Spinning Outfit Advise

Both reels you mention are good ones. Yes the difference is the spool size and shape. The Daiwas design is amazing with braided lines. You can spool it to the lip of the spool and will not receive nests during casts. The Daiwa 3500/4000 are made in japan. Both reels in this size share common reel bo...

Not trying to bust your chops Quad, but, I believe that kelp bed is part of the Admiralty Head Marine Preserve. Only open for sea urchins & sea cucumbers. See regs page 118. Info point # 5. I not really know where the place is. There is also a sign, going down the beach where the big canon is, sayi...

Is it still open? I can not find any information regarding sockey salmon fishing in that lake. Pamphlet is saying that it is open year round for landlocked salmon. What kind of rules applying (hook, fish size) to sockey salmon in Baker lake?

RE:Edmonds fishing pier

During the main run average was about 4 fish cough during morning and maybe 2 evening. Once I was there sunday after noon and it was a little rainy. Pier was e...

RE:Whidbey steelhead

I have couple question. How to work this lure? Should I jig it and drop to the bottom or this is drifting? How big lead my I use? I have surf rod, would it work if I would use 3 oz of lead? I am curious that the skirt would work for different species of fish, fished from shore in the ocean. In Octob...

RE:Smoking salmon problem

One thing to add to the list of suggestions is to make sure you use a water pan and place your fish on the rack closest to the pan. I also tried the SalmonU recipe and found that it did produce a bit dryer salmon for me. Not sure if it's because it's a dry brine. From my (limited) experience it see...

Smoking salmon problem

I am new to smoking fish. I smoked pink salmon, which I cough in the salt, and I also recently smoked coho salmon. What I have found is that my smoked salmon is much drier comparing to store-bought smoked salmon. I use a receipt from salmon university and my salmon was paper dry, and when I bought s...

What are your alternatives? Where are you coming from? If you are going north on I-5 I'd fish the Stillaquamish or Snohomish. Yes, Stilly and Snoho are my alternatives. I am surprise with what you wrote me that it is better to fish them that skagit. I was more lucky on the skagit that Sky. I spent ...
