Re: 2018 salmon seasons for Puget Sound are out
Hate to be the pessimist. But I smell a bait and switch scheme here. Get us all excited so license sales increase, then come June or July emergency closures start showing up. God I Hope I'm wrong........

Re: American Lake(Pierce Co.)
Thanks, I was just thinking of taking the boat out for a spring shakedown/test new prop on my main. Thought American might be producing already , so it would be a win-win. Thanks for the insight again.

Re: Any updates on Riffe Lake and the fishing bridge?
If you don't have a problem backing up 2-300 feet the launches are quite usable. Taidnapam North is the better of the open launches, the other being at Mossyrock park. Little to no debris at either launch. I've had no problems launching my 20 foot Duckworth at either.

Re: Any updates on Riffe Lake and the fishing bridge?
We were there this weekend, Afraid the bridge is hopeless. However there are a few places you can get down to the waters edge to bank fish. That being said, I talked to a Kayak fisher who said he fished the bridge area for a couple hours with no action at all.

Re: Cabin by the river website
I wonder if they closed it down due to lack of interest\use.....? We have decided to go to Chelan instead in March and chase Kokes. We enjoyed the cabin when we went there a couple years ago and thought it was reasonably priced, but $50 a night to camp on the river bar with no amenities other than ...

Re: Cabin by the river website
Funny, now I get nothing on it. I had just looked it up yesterday and bookmarked the reservation page. Now my reservation request is probably hopelessly lost on the interweb!!!!! I will have to try the phone number tomorrow. The wife really wants to go back there, it's been 3 years.

It came up on Google for me. I'm attempting to make reservations via email right now. If I don't hear back in a couple days I will call the number given. That's how I reserved there last time.

Re: Bumping Lake Camping and Fishing
USFS campground on Bumping has Vault toilets only, No known campgrounds within 25 miles that have flushing toilets. As for fishing I've only only seen trout and kokanee.

Glacier Nat'l Park Lake McDonald
Don't know if I'd call it an exotic destination but we are going there in mid August and just wonder if anyone here has fished there. I did some online research last night and sounds like it's a beautiful lake but fishing is pretty slow. Looks like kokanee and lake trout are primary targets. I'll ha...

Re: Smoker craft quality question
A friend of mine had a 2004 16' Smoker "Millentia" or some name like that, that after 3 years held water like swiss cheese. I see the newer fish/ski smokercrafts are at least welded at the seams
