Remember that fish can't look downward too well, if at all, so I always want to be a few feet above them. There are many seasoned Kokeheads that know of this technique but decide it's just too much to remember or too much guesswork involved. I have used this tech tip on Merwin also when fishing by myself. I did tire of it in my early stages of newbe stacking but it's cheaper to stack than buy 2 more DR'...

I use the Scotty quick clips for stacking with Cannon Mag 10 electrics because the clips are QUICK to take off to get to the bottom release. Shuttle Hawks are just another gimmick to catch fishermen IMHO....

copepods Thanks Toni, are they a big problem in lakes? I have not seen it this bad ever. The photo I am trying to load shows many of them on the gill plates of one Kokanee which was very under weight and had soft flesh. Just trying to understand if this warrants reporting to WDFW.
