Awesome! What kind of fish did you catch? I plan on making a trip up there around June (time off permitting).

RE:Does anybody have.... use Swedish Pimples?
I have several and use them for vertical jigging, through ice or off the boat. I've caught bass, perch, bluegill, crappie, walleye, and trout with them. Although they can be used as is, I usually tip them with some type of bait. Such as a piece of worm, raw shrimp, etc. Buy some and keep them in you...

RE:Potholes, Evergreen, or Billy Clapp?
I agree with Potholes being the best bet. There is Mardon Resort near by for limited supplies, food, and gear. The city of Moses Lake is also a short drive. For camping there are several spots on the Lind Coulee arm. Soda has several designated camping spots of your looking for a flat spot with a pa...

Fourth of July Ice
Well I was passing through the area and decided to make a stop at Fourth of July Lake. Figured I would fish for a few hours then continue to Spokane. I pulled in around 1pm along with another pair of fisherman. We were the only two vehicles there. I asked them if they had been out this year. One fis...

racfish your recipe sounds just like my Ham Bone soup recipe. Only difference is instead of ham hocks I use a ham bone.

Melons actually grow great in some areas of the Pacific Northwest. I have a friend who grows watermelons, Tuscan melons (cantalope type), and honey dew types melons (forgot the exact name) They are great, and I hope to grow some next year.

Looks yummy. Building a Smoker is on my To Do list for the summer. Right after the yard, garage, canoe modifications, new target stands, work bench, shelving the garage, painting the house, extending the patio, and fire pit. I'll get there.

RE:Carp or Northern Pike Minnow disposal - What is actually the best way to do it?
Most people where I fish/hunt for carp just let them float. Some people do stab the fish to burst the air bladder. It's not really a concern here as there are a ton of coyotes. Either way it's a good thing. Just wish I could get out more. I only live 15min from prime hunting grounds.

RE:Where have you had problems with breakins or vandalism
I've personally have never had a problem (knock on wood). I keep my doors locked, and nothing in plain sight. My stereo is a tape deck. I've been fishing in the Quincy area recently and have seen plenty of gang graffiti and plenty of schetchy people. Bangers speeding by on dirt roads, stopping for a...

RE:Moses Lake, Winchester Wasteway
When the weathers nice, you'll see a bunch of people on the I-90 bridge in Moses Lake. Like others have said, get off on exit 174 (I think) and park at Blue Heron Park, which will be your first right turn off of Westshore Dr. I've never fished it but a lot of locals do. As for ice Lonnie's right, th...

Turkey
Turkey season is just around the corner. I will probably have only several days I can go out this season (work, family, etc). I've got most of my gear ready. I will be hunting in NE Washington. Just wondering who else here will be out looking to bag a turkey? Also with this mild winter how do you th...

RE:Smoked fish?
I've only had smoked trout and smoked salmon. The smoked trout was okay. The smoked salmon was good. I'd really like to try smoked sturgeon. I haven't fished for sturgeon in several years. Building a smoker is one of my projects for this spring/early summer. I'd like to try and smoke a variety of fi...

And, might I add, the core of your complaint is exactly WHY this site exists. Years ago I found this website and offered to rewrite for Mike for the SOLE reason that I had a tough time find places to go fish. Sure, I can find the lake, I can read what works, what doesn't, but for the inexperienced ...

RE:Is It True That It Is Illegal For One Person To Fish With Two Poles?
I will be purchasing the two-pole endorsement on my license. The money goes to the hatcheries which is a big plus..even thought I usually only fish for spiny rays. It's still going to a good cause for wildlife and sportsman. I don't think I will fish with two poles all the time, but having that opti...
