RE:choosing colors, whats your rule of thumb?

My go to colors for Bass are almost always the greens and darker colors. Pumpkin, Watermelon Candy, Smoke, Purples with various flakes. These have outfished other colors 2 to 1. Cant go wrong with a green pumkin senko in 4 or 5".

RE:good braided line

Power pro all the way. The other brands were like casting waxy dental floss. I've had my 15 lb hi-vis yellow on for the last 3 seasons and works great. Good value too since your not having to change line every year...

RE:trout in beaver lake

What part of the lake was 51 degrees? Were you at the north end where the big rock at the end of the main lake is? The little lake to the south of the main lake has had nice action for the last week. Pontoon or small boat the way to go for sure....

RE:Reel question for you all...

I bought a Quantum energy Ci spinning reel last spring and its unreal. Titanium bail wire and magnetic bail are sweet and super smooth. About 90.00 so a little pricey. Bought and returned a Pflueger President because after a week the bearings started to feel "crunchy" on retrieves. Also, on hook set...

It sat for a full couple of minutes deadstill when I started reeling it back and saw there was a fish on....Sucks. Beav...
