RE:Condition of Bass on stringers
When putting a bass on a stringer you never put it through the gills. You take the spike on the stringer and push it through the thin membrane just below the lip. It will come out just to the side of the tongue and you run it back through the loop on the other end of the stringer for the first fish ...

RE:Crankbait Hooks
I've been catching some nice bass this year on the Bandit 700 series crank bait. What's the most frustrating thing to me is getting the hooks out of their mouth. Most of the ones I've been catching has the front hook caught in a way that has the mouth sealed closed. Two of the hooks on the front tre...

Does anybody else ever have problems with trout identification?
Originally being from the south and adding the fact that I never fish for trout sometimes causes me problems. What brings this question on is while fishing for smallmouth (unsuccessfully again) Saturday, my son caught a very nice 3-4 lb trout and I caught a 2 pound fish at the same time in Lake Wash...

RE:Lake Washington smallmouth?
Well, all I know is the past two weekends have been really pleasant. I had some perfect drifts and some cold beer. I had that feeling you get when you make a cast and you just know you're going to have that sudden rock hard hit. For some reason they just didn't cooperate with me. In the immortal wor...

Lake Washington smallmouth?
I only get to fish on the weekends and the last two (weather wise) have been great but with few fish. I caught fish two weeks ago that were full of eggs in 15-25 feet of water. Are they post spawn already?

Transducer adjustment question
I'm only seeing the front part of the inverted V on my fishfinder. I've been told that the transducer needs to be adjusted slightly. I have a pontoon boat and can see them on back of the tubes but it's moored and my trailer is not close by. Anybody ever tried to adjust them with your boat still in t...

Fall patterns for SMB on Lake Washington.
Can anybody give me a little advice? It seems like it's really slowed down lately. What areas on the lake are more productive during the fall? Any other advice would be appreciated.

RE:Artificial structure question. Is putting this in lakes in WA state legal?
Hello XXX: Below is the response to your question about the artificial fishing structure. It doesn’t sound like they are illegal but they may require a permit depending on the location, size of the structure, and impact on public use. It would probably be good to contact your local county government...

RE:Artificial structure question. Is putting this in lakes in WA state legal?
Well, between work, family, fishing, building crappie condos and the 5-6 hours of sleep I get a night, I don't have a whole lot of time to be going by an office and getting somebody in a rassling match. I guess sometimes it's best to do like my son's T-shirt says: "SHUT UP AND FISH".

I sent the e-mail to both WDFG and the Dept. of Ecology at the same time. I didn't think I would hear from either.

RE:Artificial structure question. Is putting this in lakes in WA state legal?
http://www.porcupinefishattractor.com/fishing_tips.htm Is this type of artificial structure legal in the state of Washington? I was also curious about home made structures commonly referred to as crappie condos. You make these with a five gallon plastic bucket filled with 30 lbs.of cement containing...

RE:Artificial structure question. Is putting this in lakes in WA state legal?
I haven't heard from them which makes me think they probably won't respond. Anybody have any other ideas as far as who to ask about the legality of this matter?

RE:Artificial structure question. Is putting this in lakes in WA state legal?
I sent them an e-mail. Let's wait and see if I get an answer. I'm originally from Mississippi and everybody down there just builds their own. It takes a while for the algae growth to start on them to attract the bait fish but they say they work well. You can go to Home Depot and get everything you n...

Artificial structure question. Is putting this in lakes in WA state legal?
http://www.porcupinefishattractor.com/fishing_tips.htm I've been scanning the regs and can't seem to find an answer? You can build crappie condos with a five gallon plastic bucket, a little cement and some 1/2 inch pvc pipe. Does anybody know if this is legal and if it is have you ever tried and doe...
