Re: Odd place to be fishing
I use to fish in the ditch in front of my house when it would rain a lot. Only thing I ever caught was frozen herring I put in there myself though ;)

Re: 2013 Humpy Fishing Bloopers and Blunders
The blooper I enjoy are those who dont carry a net. I took my salmon net and added 6 feet of doweling to the handle. For the rivers its perfect. My buddy left to hit the Sky for pinks. I said take my net, its worth it. Hahaha He didnt take it. They lost 7 fish because they didnt want to carry a 2 l...

Re: Freshwater fishing near Lakewood Wa???
Don't think I could have said it any better than G-Man. LOTS of fishing around the Lakewood area, specially if your willing to travel that far (100 miles... I don't like going much further than 20 or 30 unless it's a camping weekend trip lol) Trout, Bass, Kokanee, Salmon, Steelhead are all within ea...

Those look tasty! I've had halibut, lingcod, salmon, and sturgeon cheeks, but never walleye! Will have to try that next time I get some walleye!

Re: sugestion for trout lake with rv parking
Everyone I've seen with boats behind RVs launch them with the RV and a buddy standing behind to guide them. Mardon has a large space to launch where you could easily launch your boat with the RV. You might want to take a drive to Flowinv and check it out before trying it, I don't remember how much s...

Re: sugestion for trout lake with rv parking
"The Cove" at Fish Lake has long been one of my families favorite places to go. Right off HWY 2, they have space for RVs, a boat launch with dock and moorage, and boats to rent if you wanted to go that route. The lake has great fishing for Trout and Perch, as well as bass. Lake Wenatchee right next ...

Re: Kokanee Pics and Reports 2013
Well we were so busy catching fish at the Derby on Saturday, we forgot to take a lot of pics, but I have few! We landed 25 fish all together (If you counted in the pic, 5 are missing because Gringo stopped by as we were getting home, and I happily unloaded some on him and his family so they could en...

Re: New boat
Nice! I like the seats on boxes in the forward helm... that's useful! Looks like a fun boat! Good luck with the wiring, I've re-wired two boats, what a pain! But it's so nice when you're done!

Re: 4th Annual Lake Stevens Kokanee Derby
I'm there for sure! I'll be the one with a the blue shark on the bow of my Freedrifter. The blue sharks are a tribute to Tod (Iceshark) who lost his battle with cancer. Good luck everyone! I'll have one on the bow of my little green Willie. Going to be sad not having iceshark around on Saturday, bu...

Re: 4th Annual Lake Stevens Kokanee Derby
I'll be stopping by Three Rivers tomorrow to pick up another ticket for my dad. That makes a boat of three, and a really fun day. I'm super excited... re-organizing my tackle, and just picked up a bunch of new Dick Nite Dodgers and Kokanee DNA fresh for the derby!

Re: Not a Trout - Not a Kokanee - What is it?
However, on the landlocked chinook front... the mouth was not black enough to be a chinook. You can see in the picture of it's head, the base of it's teeth is gray not black, and you can see the minimal spots on the tail and that they are only on the top lobe of the tail. Chinook have spots through ...

Re: Not a Trout - Not a Kokanee - What is it?
Wow rseas - that would be a trip! Catching a chinook on koke gear! haha Too bad you weren't able to land it, but I bet it was still fun! I started this same conversation on my facebook, and have gotten some pretty interesting feedback as well. Everyone's pretty much agreed that it's a Coho Steelhead...
