State Record Largemouth Bass

If I caught anything close to what I thought was 10 lbs, first thing I would do is call 911.

Lotta fish stories . You also now need to report the body of water you caught it in. Can you imagine what would happen to your favorite lake when every report in the state says that the State Record was caught in ................? I doubt that any fish could survive the onslaught of fishermen.

I AGREE! sometimes I regret opening my mouth many years ago on a similar washington fishing site about night fishing kapowsin.... 99% of the time it was just my Dad and i, every friday and sat night, catching 6's, 7's and bigger (either break um off or throwin hooks), until one night, someone else showed up too night fish, then another and another and so on..... it went from really awesome too Horriable.... so if i caught a record, its tough too say, but i think, givin the right situation, take some pics, and put her back..... "loose lips sink ships"

Agree, but that breaking point may be honesty.

Realy, I did catch the fish on the West Side, I just brought it back to the East side to weigh.

Was out night fishing a small lake recently and caught two vary large bass in same location about 10 min apart, first one weighed in at 10# 14oz and second one weight in at 9# 8oz. I couldn't get good pics and I wanted to get them back in the water asap, my boat's live well is not that big and I was worried about them not lasting until morning.

I thought the scales I have were right but after punching in the first fishes size I find they may be off, the first one was 27.5"long and 21" around.

Three days later my buddy who lives on the lake saw 7 bass boats out on the lake, compared to the normal of one once or twice a week. So loose lips do sink good fishing spots.

I agree Tag. I was glad to see this post yesterday, as I went night fishing myself last night. Ragin, did you get any other pictures, and is the picture the biggest one ? I would go crazy if I broke my PB twice in 10 minutes, nice work !

Congratulations on your catch. What a thrill!
I really get a thrill watching these huge predators swim off after a release.
I purposely do not tell people where I've caught my biggest or the lakes that
hold numbers of "large" catchable bass. Most small lakes can't take the fishing
pressure that happens even with a little dock talk at the ramp.

I also was fortunate to catch 2 over 10lbs in a season, not in one night,
my Avatar is my PB-11 lb/ 9 oz. It came out of a lake I refer to as lake X.
I would not be able to kill even a world record, don't have it in me.

So many small bodies of water have some really huge bass, and enough forage
to support them. Wouldn't have thought, but they are there! O MOMMA!!!
