Great thread!!
Good: Landing 2 5lb+ smallmouth @ Nixons Marine Open which gave us 5th place for $2500

Bad: Losing 2 big smallmouth ( 5lb & 4lb) at the net in the last NW Bass tournament at Lake Roosevelt which cost us a bunch of money.
Having to close up the business!! (This is the worst for me by far)

I was always taught to end on a good note, so I'll start with the bad:

-Didn't get out as much as I wanted to.
-Lost many favorite lures to evil tree branches.
-The one chance I had to show my dad up, I get shafted as the biggest bass I've ever had (easily over 5#) shakes my line; only to find out later I didn't close the snap swivel. #-o
-I still don't own a bass boat.

Good:

-Caught my PB for both LM and SM this year. LM @ 4.8lbs, SM @ 3.7lbs.
-Enjoyed every trip I went on whether fish were caught or not.
-Got to spend some quality time with my dad, learning a lot more about bass behavior.
-Fished new waters and had good luck doing so.

Best:

-It ain't over yet. ;)

I haven't used a snap swivel since the last time I went trout fishing.

Anyways, I got another big fish award at a club tournament, so that definetly adds to my good list.

Chris B makes a great point. There is no reason to ever use a snap swivel in a bass fishing application. You are just asking for trouble.

Well, for the BAD:
Getting sick this year. It has been a real, real bummer.
Not doing well at the Divisionals in Montana. Way to go Dez, I am proud of you.

For the Good:
Getting sick this year. It has changed my life for the good and bad. It has somehow made me a better angler.
9 events this year fished. Far more than I would have thought I could physically do.
I had really good results this year.

For the Best:
New personal best smallie of 6.68 caught during a tournament
Making the BASS state team and finishing 2nd overall
Getting sick and learning a whole new set of priorities for me and my family.

The good, won the wa lakes durby and casting. Caught many large fish this year in the 7+ range. Had a fish finder give to me by another basser out on Long Lk (kitsap) thanks again it works great! My youngest girl had a blast catching bluegill out a horse shoe lk (kitsap) Won in court and have all my kids. And found a rebuild kit for my trolling motor for $30. that works great and easy to do. Had Elk all around me this year, couldn't draw back with out them bolting.

The bad had two fish out at Long Lk (kitsap) break off 50 pound braid like it was 4 pound test.Trolling motor started making bad loud noises. My fishing buddys not wanting to go out in the cold weather when the pre spawn was on. And the drivers power window in my truck has stoped working? It sucks when going over the toll bridge and coffee stands. Miss the chance to bag an Elk.
My Dad would say," Boy, some people just can't fish"
