Michigan Smallie trip
Just got back from my annual Smallie trip. Every year, we go for a week of smallie fishing at the northern part of Michigan for the smallie spawns. This year the weather was tough, they were spawning when we got there, but second day into the trip, it was pretty much windy, cold and cloudy until the last two days of the trip, the last day was the best weather, fish were coming up. Caught quite a bit of 3 to 4 lbers, but no 5 between me and my partner. Oh well, that's fishing. Still had a great time.

Thats what im talking about , and this why the anglers from Michigan can easy adjust to the fishing out here . Good job paul , man i dont miss those whitecaps or that darn cold wind but i do miss the fish ..lol ...Im suppose to get back there some time in july and we will be going to our old spots up in monroe .. I bet you 13 cents i know what you were using for smallies ..lol lets just say Berkley makes a product ..

This lake was recommended by KVD on a Bassmasters magazine. I never met the guy, but he and I grew up in the same town.jake campbell wrote:Now I know why KVD loves his Michigan smallies so much!!!!
