Yea they are netting the mouth. I thought netting was to be above 106. Oh and as I was writing this I got a call. Skokomish Indian tribe busted last night by us Marshall's for netting the mouth.

Re: Skok
don't you have to release those right now. besides they must be able to get up the river now that the nets are not in the mouth.

Re: Skok
So that's why there are a lot of jacks and hardly any adults. Fling are you saying they are not allowed to net the mouth anymore? Plus you are allowed silvers. It is a combo of 2 pink, kings, or silvers

Re: Skok
I know I was just playing with him. they've never been able to net the mouth. there's rules to the netting you can find it on the skokomish fisheries website there regulations website. they are allowed to net above the 106 bridge. I just found out they're not even supposed to use treble hooks.

Re: Skok
I'm not sure if any of you would know the netting schedule but if you do I was wondering when are the natives supposed to have there nets out of the river?

Re: Skok
We as fisherman really need to video tape these events as proof that it is not just our fault and that it is at least half if not more their fault why the river is how it is. They are probably the ones pooping in the river too

Re: Skok
Its suppose to not matter. No netting below 106. But they have been netting the mouth. Just got caught. So any day of the week from mouth to 106 should be good.
Re: Skok
That is just ridiculous what the natives get away with. Illegal activities. I'm glad they got busted. Yes I do believe all of us fisherman need to take photos and videos of them using treble hooks and illegal netting. Throwing back good fish caught in their nets because they don't contain eggs. Wasteful

Re: Skok
Its a federal law. I heard that the Fed Judges wont overrule another Judges decision. So the Boldt rule lives forever. There are better ways to hurt the tribes then taking pictures. Don't gamble in their casinos, don't eat the big fish buffets on Fridays,Don'I buy fireworks. The only way to hurt them is not to spend your money on the reservations. I see peoples with fishing poles in their cars buying booze and cigarettes on the res. JMO
Re: Skok
There has to be a challenge to the Boldt decision for anything to happen. Which will never happen when we have a state that is run by politicians with so much tribal money lining their pockets and the white guilt that they wear like a merit badge. But that doesn't excuse the blatent law breaking that goes on. But tribal cops don't give a rip, so we have mob rule on tribal land.racfish wrote:Its a federal law. A boycott of tribal goods would be a great tool. What would be even better is if we legalized gambling and firecrackers. That way they would lose the monopoly and have to be held responsible for their crimes.

Re: Skok
I got a total slab at the skok today. My king to date. About 34-35 pounds. Estimate, my scale was broken, sent some pics to other guys, the girth, the length, etc. Everyone thinks its about 32-36 pounds.

Re: Skok
Youre not aloud to point at fish, youll get a ticket. But how is a game warden gonna prove you were looking at a fish and targeting it? Hes not. And he wont call it sight flossing, he will call it attempting to snag.
