At 112th enter from Old HWY 99 side of the river and park. Fewer issues wth vandalizium and break ins than the Park/walking trail parking lot on the freeway side.

I saw you catch that shiner perch. You and your son were fishing on that drainage below the walking bridge. I was just there to scope out the action.gonnahookit wrote:I fished from Boeing (112th) up to the community center today. No nets, and few fish. Saw an occasional roll, mostly dark with a few chrome (very small chrome).
Didn't see anyone catch anything, except this little tyke.
Almost embarrassing to be fishing for salmon and catch this, and I don't even know what it is. Guessing it is some kind of perch?
At least I caught something!

I caught the shiner perch but my son wasn't with me. there were two guys sitting there watching me though, and on the other side of the bridge there was a guy with his son.
if you see me down there tomorrow stop and say hi

Re: Green/Duwamish Netting?
The picture from the link shows where i fished.
I fished in the 112th St this morning but no luck. I use the drift setup in the current, but got snagged a few times. I didn't see any fish in that area when the tide is low. However, on the other side of the bank, I see so many fish jumping, but there is no current. So i used bobber setup, but also no luck.
What are the recommend setup for beginner to fish in water with little to no current? I never caught any salmon in my life

Re: Green/Duwamish Netting?
Majority of the fish rolling this morning were bronze/boot kings. Sorry very little chrome, and the 3 hours I was there I only saw one small jack caught. Threw everything but the kitchen sink with only one hit on drifted eggs this morning. Might be the egg cure but might just be few fish this morning too.
Re: Green/Duwamish Netting?
My bobber did not stay upright, and does not move much in water. I guess the sinker weights are too light.
My line always belly because whenever i reel my line in, the bobber will just move toward me, result in more belly.

Re: Green/Duwamish Netting?
I been using cured shrimp for my bait instead of eggs because I have never caught any salmon for their eggs. I also afraid that the eggs would fall off easily when i cast hard.
One more question: will plunking work on the 112th? I bought a couple of spin N glow and kwikfish k14-16, but doesn't have much time to test those out.

Re: Green/Duwamish Netting?
been fishing for salmon for a few days, but did not landed a single one yet except this fish (not in the mouth, not sure if the fish can survive after release)
I'm not sure what i did wrong, but i can't get a single bite yet
