Cowlitz Ho's

Post by RiverWarrior » Sun Nov 30, 2014 10:50 pm

Went fishing on the cowlitz tuesday of last week. I was hoping i would be able to fish in a non combat fishery. I got there 30 minutes before first light to see 20 other people already on the bank. At that moment my hopes and dreams went out the door. Armed with a float and my last two pints of eggs i started fishing when i was able to see my bobber. Casted out, first cast fish on! she was a little colored up, but it was a hen and i needed the eggs. I thought she will smoke up so I tagged her. 5 more hours pass and on my second to last bait my float goes down. Fish on! its was a nice hen, about 6 lbs. More people came as the day went on and it become hard to float fish effectively. I only saw about 7 fish caught the 5 hours i was there. It wasn't hot fishing by any means but it was great being out there. I caught the last fish on video, check it out. Good luck on the water!
