Good Times.

12 Hours worth of driving, 2 hours worth of sleep, 3:15AM wake up, 4 cups of coffee. 8 hours worth of watching a clear water drift float, bob across the surface of the river. Leaky waders, 3 lost fish at the bank, a beautiful sunrise in the gorgeous Pacific Northwest in early October. Good friends, one crazy battle, a 10 lb silver and lots of memories. It was a good day.

Riverwarrior was it a hen or buck? The snout looks more hen than buck (edit, could be from the camera angle looking at it a bit closer) and it is blushing up a bit but maybe it got a nose job with the way things are these days.
If I had to guess I'd go with hen based on the lack of the pronounced upper mandible/snout but been awhile since I saw a coho up close
.

Looks like a buck...look at the mouth and eye. The kype(?) not sure if I am remembering name correctly but basically the joint of the mouth is forward of the eye on a hen. That fish looks like it goes aft of the eye.

Ah ya goodtimes, the extension of the upper mandible goes beyond the eye socket. Little tricky from the pic angle, I can blame it on my old age.
Thx for clarifying.

It was definitely a buck. I wish it had been a hen because this trip used up my egg supply! lol oh well.
