I got the WDFW Week-ender report in my e-mail today. I recomend that you go to the WDFW site and sign up for their e-mail list.
WDFW Week-ender report wrote:Southwest Washington
With water temperatures rising, sturgeon fishing has again sprung to life in Bonneville and John Day pools, where anglers have been catching some legal-size fish. Those fishing John Day should keep an eye out for rule changes, because the catch is quickly approaching the annual quota, Hymer said. The Dalles Pool has already reached its annual quota and is catch-and-release through the end of the year.
Sorry I do not know where Cathlamet is, but WDFW is a great resource for where the fish are.

I bit early in the year to decide the annual results. We hit the Astoria area a good bit last year and did very well. Guides I talked to also said it had been a good year.

My old boss caught a 20+ pounder the other week....Nice fishy, saw the pictures too. Lots of bites though for the boat
