Tapps turny?
Anybody know the results from this past weekend?
RE:Tapps turny?
From what I heard everyone had a good time even though no one caught a fish. Soiunds like the Fuller's did real good in the raffle and alot of other people did too. Sounds like it wasn't a good fish catching weekend for either muskie tournament from what I heard. Maybe next year. From the reports though it sounds like everyone had a good time which it is what really counts!

Yup, only 1 fish was registered at 34 inches. The water was clear and you could see nice ones swimming by, they just were not interested in playing.
We had a good weekend, fishin and hagning out. I got a sunburn...

Rich, Bill and I have been at Mayfield and seen the muskies laying on the stumps looking pretty (and laughing at all the fishermen trying to get them to bite) and in the downed trees in the water too. They are definitely finicky eaters! That stump field up by where the Cowlitz comes in is such a neat place when the sun is shining just right. The first year Bill and I fished there will remain in my memory forever I think as it was so cool watching the musky in the water around those stumps refusing to bite no matter what Bill threw at them. Back then I didn't really fish, I just enjoyed being in the boat, reading, relaxing and visiting with Bill while he fished.
Tark, Now I fish sometimes and yes I have caught muskies though I prefer to catch Smallies. Smallies put up a much better fight, at least in Lake Tapps. The little muskies fight alot better than the big ones. The big ones tend to feel like a big log coming up pretty quick after hooking up, that's why I've gone to fishing for smallies all the time now. I have alot of friends on this muskie forum though and that is why I keep tabs on it often.
