I am looking to buy a scent to put on trolling lures. What brands and flavors do you recommend for stocked trout in lakes?

For stocked trout your probably best off using a tiny bit of power bait as it is supposed to mimic the food they were fed in the hatchery. However, corn and anise scents seem to work on most trout and lately I've been trying the krill scents and having success. Remember to wash your lures (I use Lemon Joy) before and after you use them to get any unwanted scent off of them. Week/month/year old scent on your lure and in your tackle box is probably not going to help you catch fish.

Powerbait has a good trout scent. Works for me. Pretty thick for a liquid.

I prefer to tip a lure with a worm, but scent works on spoons and other lures where a worm might impact any action of the lure.
