Lake Chelan Fishing Suggestions

Post by bigdaddy3769 » Mon May 16, 2016 1:15 pm

I am looking for some suggestions.

I will be in Chelan for Memorial Weekend. I'd love to book a guided fishing day with my boy but don't have that kind of money. When I was a kid my family would camp at the State Park and I did well fishing off the docks there, but we're not staying at the State Park. I'm looking for some suggestions on places to fish from shore or docks in town or on the south end of the lake. I'd also like to rent a small boat but everything I've found is ski boats, so any help finding a small fishing boat to rent would be great.

I feel like there are some turn outs on the way up lake to the State Park that could be decent fishing locations. I'd also be open to Wapato or Roses Lake. I'd just like a good day of fishing for my boy and some larger fish than he has caught before.

Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

The little lakes are always good. Much easier if you have a boat of any kind, even a blow up job. Wapato has a park on one end you can fish from. Both have WDFW access spots.
