Fishing with a Bobber

yeah i love that setup especially on freshly planted lakes or for warmwater species that setup can not be beat

I still use bobber and worm if nothing else is working.
I know of one older lady that fishes Lake Sylvia and thats all she uses. She limits everytime I see her

when everyone was fishing powerbait on the bottom for planters at pine in may i came up with a worm and bobber and limited in 15 minutes well powerbait guys were taking 2 hours too limit

My Dad taught me to fish that way also. Find a bunch of Bluegill and throw a worm and bobber. You can't keep em off the hook

What's the proper way to rig up a bobber?

I dont know if I have my setup properly.

This is how i set up the one I currently have.

Line, swivel, slip bobber (i think. the one with a hole through it), an egg weight or worm weight, bead, swivel, and then about 4-5ft of line, then hook.

i just run a hook and a bobber snapped 2-3 feet up the line

I live on a 60 acre lake and every year on opening day there are so many boats on the water you could darn near walk from one boat to another. Now on opening day I just fish off my dock with the kids using a bobber and worm and limit in an hour.

if im using the round bobbers i go line, bobber, swivel, splitshot, hook.
actually, i do the same thing for the long bobbers.

I have my line then simple snap on red and white bobber and then 4 foot leader to worm...maybe 6 foot leader if needed...works every time...

Those bobbers that look like Pokemon balls? I'm scared of those because they crimp/damage my line... Not to mention, they never stay put when i cast. Always slide around.

What kind? Pics? I have this one that looks like a cigar, but it's very light. Cant cast worth a dime with it.

The bobber stopper. Is that the tiny little plastic piece, where you eye it through the hole, then wrap around the body and through the other hole?

either that or the green string type. I prefer the plastic ones. Also a bead between the bobber and stop
