Bonneville Dam fish camera

The springers and shad have been moving steadily past the camera since about 7 pm (same the prior 4 days). Not much activity until the sun goes down but then they start moving.

Thanks for the heads up here Wolverine, I had totally forgotten about the cam down there at Bonneville. The activity has begun!

About 2 plus months ago!!!:-# :-&

The counts even tell the tail:-$ at Vernita in late August and September :cheers: :chef:

I opened a window to the Bonny site at 5:30 and the fish are already on the move.

I will agree with Swede here, those fish are nice no matter what color they are and I have also heard they eat ok. I haven't landed one personally but I have hooked a couple fishing for squawfish near vernita. I have also caught Bass, Walleye and sturgeon there, as well as lots of other stuff. Its too bad they closed off the great shore fishing spots on the eastside of the dam. Its all fenced off now for a couple of miles down. We used to go there every year almost. Another great spot ruined.
