How fast do you recon he was going?
RE:How fast do you recon he was going?
By the furrows left in the ground, it appears that only 2 of the 3 motors were down. Either way, he was hauling for sure, I'm guessing 60+. Could have just finished watching Live and Let Die and ran out to give it a shot.

I saw the link on the Bayliner Owners Club forum. The pics came from a Russian web site.

If I was pressed to come up with a "most likely" scenario it would be, running at night, with the lights out, due to illegal cargo.

When youre up to your rear end in alligators, its hard to remember that the initial plan was to drain the swamp.

i say its photo shop.... if its real that sucks , but then again if you have a boat like that you probably got the cash to fix it:-& :safe: :safe:
fish on!

One more engine and he would have had it. 1,050hp just ain't quite enough sometimes. Need to remember to pull the engines right before contact next time, everyone knows that. LOL. If it is real I am with G-Man, otherwise you have to be a real idiot to pull that one off.

Something doesnt jive if you compare the first two photos. Looks to me like the boat appears different sizes in these two. But could just be my eye.

Knowing humans like I do... I think it totally possible that these shots are real.
If not a mechanical issue... Yea, I could see someone running full throttle and not paying attention to what they were doing. I see it half the time on on the lake, or driving, or at work...
Im betting that its real. Can anyone ready Russian and see what the original page says about it?

As a graphic designer and expert photoshopper I can tell you right now that that would be an exhausting set of fakes to make, and they would not look like that. There is no other way to et the grass bent over like that other than painting at a pixel by pixel level from multiple angles with about a hundred different photos to draw from. There is no feathering, no pixel loss and the metadata seems to indicate validity. It'd take REAL absolute dedication to get the level of detail required to make something that was half as convincing with only one perspective.
I'm betting on stuck throttle or drunken boater. I'd put a G down on that. But send it to mythbusters so they can test it out, I wanna see that $#*! go down! That'd be a riot and a half.

No fishing gear, what a shame...racfish wrote:What a waste of boat. Theres no fishing gear showing at all.Perhaps he had tee many martoonies to drink.
~Men and fish are alike. They both get into trouble when they open their mouths.
~My biggest worry is that my wife (when I'm dead) will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it.
