Cleaning Fiberglass.
I picked up a small Livingston and it has moss and green algea on it. Any ideas on cleaning the boat. The inside is great. The outer white part is badly stained.

Re: Cleaning Fiberglass.
I used 30 sec. outdoor cleaner on my Livingston that was like that. Sprayed it on, wait 30 sec scrub it with a car brush and respite as needed. And it looked like new!
Re: Cleaning Fiberglass.
The outdoor cleaners are mostly bleach based. You could also just make a 10% bleach/water solution and scrub with that. A little added TSP works as a degreaser as well. 30 sec cleaner is already mixed though.
Re: Cleaning Fiberglass.
Plain old scrubbing bubbles has worked well for me in the past.
Re: Cleaning Fiberglass.
I've heard to use basic toilet bowl cleaner and plan to try that.

DavidA that might be a little strong for fiberglass.
Re: Cleaning Fiberglass.
Trophy: Thank you for that. I had assumed it shouldn't be a concern if it was being recommended, but brands differ in strength, presumably and better to be safe than sorry. I'll go very easily (small area and not on long) to start.
Re: Cleaning Fiberglass.
If you are going to try it, use a "scratch free" version of the product. The abrasive in that version of the product won't strip your gel coat like regular stuff would. You can also use the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, but they will dull your gel coat if you linger on one spot or press very hard when using it.

Re: Cleaning Fiberglass.
I used Scrubbing Bubbles and Tilex with no luck at all. I tried Clorox spray cleaner and Perfecto. It worked like a charm. The lil dingy looks good now. Is there a fiberglass boat sealer that I can apply to the boat? On the bottom of the double hull part there are scratches it looks like from someone beaching the boat. Thanks Gents for your inputs.
