Professional spring tune up of outboard

Hi,

I leave in S. Seattle area.

I was wondering if anyone know of a good company, which makes "house calls", and can tune up a 90hp outboard motor.

I really want to have my 1990 outboard checked out (compression, water impeller, ignition) and changed gear oil etc. etc.

Let me know if any recommendations.

Here's my .02 after owning a 1999 50HP Yamaha 2-stroke. I took it in to 3-Rivers Marine and they did the check up. It cost $150-$200 if I remember and they did everything amazingly. I would recommend taking it into a shop such as 3-Rivers and they can go ahead and look at your motor rather than someone coming out to your place cause that might cost more. You're doing the right thing though, cause motor maintenance is #1 when it comes to boating. I see people with poor engine tune-ups and they have to get towed by the USCG and they get a large fee in the mail because of it...good luck! KTK

3 Rivers, Mercer Marine, Yarrow Marine, are the three I've had the most experience with. There was another guy in Everett, who's name escapes me at the moment, who did a sweet job and did it for a good price.

I was quoted 375.00 by a company a while back, but when I wanted to confirm today, the rates had went up, meaning I would pay 450.00

I thought that was a little too much, so looking for a slightly cheaper solution.

Get multiple estimates....Make sure you have a written estimate before you get the service done.
