I have several old salmon plugs and spoons I would like to make copies of. Don't want to risk losing the originals to a seal. I don't think the spoons would be difficult but wondering about the plugs. Anyone have any experience making plastic molds? Most of my plugs are wood.

You can make pourable moulds out of silicon caulk and cornstarch. There are YouTube vids on how to. Not sure what you'd fill them with though to reproduce the plug. Maybe a jumping off point though. Good luck!

Lots of sources of mold making and supplies on the web. Specifically for lures, Larry Dahlberg Has a bunch of supplies for molds and the pour. He had a contest a few years ago, I know a few guys from here entered. I'll leave it at that but, once you get started, if you have specific questions you can pm me or email me. I've made hundreds of molds for various parts for things over the years.
