now the question I ask myself is, do I drag my ice gear up to Fish lake tomorrow or drag the boat to Lake Chelan for Kokanee? I enjoy eating Kokanee a little more, so I think I will brave the soft water, maybe Sunday if I still feel the need I will head to Fish lake

I ice fished today. Didn't plan it, thought I'd break a bit of ice and fish from my pontoon, but there was 2.5 inches of ice up to 200' from shore. If things are the same DO NOT go past the non-clear seam, where it drops to about an inch thick. The good news is it was still thickening (You could hear it ping as the pressure built). Caught 17 perch up to 15", and Tom (tludeke) caught a 20+" trout. Also got my Minn Kota fixed very reasonably by the Electric Fisherman while I fished! Good day!

I saw idjits out on Moses Lake yesterday. I don't think any of them were heavyweights.

There was one family out near the bridge, and a guy near us said he started to go toward them, but saw the ice was only about an inch or a little more. They didn't go through but most of the fishermen were watching warily. Very clear ice, so pretty strong, but Monday's supposed to start a warm spell. Wouldn't want to be out this weekend though. There'll be enough weight to test that strength with all the people who "checked for tomorrow."

Yesterday there was open water on some, but no one out on the upper valley ponds, which usually freeze first. I wouldn't.
I think North is where the ice is.

Rivers blown, any updates on Fish Lake ice? Looking at Monday or Tuesday next week. I have a camera that needs drowning...

Never ice fished but thought you guys would like to know they are killing the perch on Moses. Lots of folks fishing near the I-90 bridge. Before the ice formed, buddy was using a Swedish Pimple as a drop shot and a standout hook with a jig skirt both tipped with either perch meat or eyeball. Said he caught a couple hundred in 4 hours, I assume the same setup would still slaughter them.

On a Tuesday!!!that's nuts I'm surprised people are doing so well all grouped as tight as they were on Saturday, combat ice fishing with such limited real estate I hope the ice can continue to grow at night

Wednesday the ice on moses lake was under 4 inches and as low as 2 inches. Also getting soft. Stay off! Not safe at all.

Planning on going up north in the coming days for some ice.. live in Spokane, species don't matter. Anywhere that would be a good starting point would be very helpful. I only know lakes around Spokane.

Good hard ice on Moses today, around 3", but 70+ people on the ice, and very few fish caught. I think this has been overfished. This was a low-rated day, but still compared to last week, it was "dead, Jim." There are real obvious current spots where the ice thins, and people who got too close for my comfort, with their kids, but nobody fell through, thank God. The ice had so many drilled holes it looked like swiss cheese used for target practice! Ended up going today, but wish I'd have gone on a weekday like before. Crowded. Also, if you are thinking of the open water at the outlet (Crab Creek) don't. Road closed and they are dredging it out and rebuilding a bridge. We walked in today and it was unfishable, unless you're into dynamite... (DON'T DO IT!!!!)

I fished Bead Lk Sunday. From the power lines to the FS boat launch was 5in of ice, but the other side of the power lines was open water. Tons of old holes but only 2 other people on the lake. Fishing was slow.
