New idea... :D What about a Lakes/Rivers Near me topic or even search and link to reports. For Example, I live in Enumclaw and I know from fishing them that lake 12, lake walker, deep lake, lake holmes, lake morton, lake sawyer, jones lake (not fished) Bass lake (not fished) Fish lake (not yet fished)

Where was I going with this.. right! These lakes are close to me but I had to already know of them, then get on here to look for info/reports. If we want to try out a new lake or river what if we could say, my zip code is....what is near me or I will be in Eatonville at the in-laws next weekend and want to fish for bass, where should I go? [thumbsup]

Sorry for the ramble, ready for the weekend. [laugh]

That would be good for the WDFW to do.

There is something like this already out there - it's called GOOGLE MAPS.

Go to GOOGLE
Click on MAPS
Enter your zip code

I always keep a Delornes Gazeteer handy because I love the paper maps and some place to jot notes, right on the map. I think it's under 20 bucks most places and covers the whole state. 3 or 4 of them are floating around the house/van in various stages of duct tape repair from years of use and abuse. Easy to cross reference with the regs.... and/or reports and suggestions from this site. I also LOVE google maps, mapquest and others!
WDFW does have something by county:>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> http://wdfw.wa.gov/fishing/washington/county.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Pick your county, pick your lake, VIOLA! :)

It's already in place - the Premium Membership allows you to enter a zip code and find the top lakes within any radius you select from your home. It also offers a bunch of other cool historical reports that are constantly updated as new reports come in. Check out the front page of the site, there's a video posted on the right hand side that shows these features. The membership is dirt cheap for a full year and the renewal is even cheaper. Plus your membership contributes to expenses related to upgrades, for example, Aaron recently purchased a software package which he is using to develope an android app for WL.com.

WAY too many members to do that. It's much easier for each person to search what they live close to and find the lakes/rivers.
