yeah some of the doctors there are good but in the er most of the staff is rude i had some of lab techs that are nice but most just seem not to care for the people like if you push the call button they don't respond for up to a half hour when there just standing around also i have posted complaints on some complaint sites and highline has gotten the bad comments removed but keep the good comments witch is just dumb i even herd of some employees there having problems with the staff in er when they have had to come in for some reason with my experiences there i most likely will never go back there until they make big changes even in there new er i was treated like crap they hire some new doctors but the old ones tell them how to treat people it seems like they have the attitude of the doctor off that show house witch iam not fan of that show but to give you a idea of how they act and when your having major health problems or are having a lot of pain you don't need some nurse or doctor giving you the third degree but owell i got get back to fishing

Hospital Horror Stories, we all have them.
If you're interested, there is a Dept of Health and Human Services web site HHS.gov that actually rates hospitals throughout the country. You can compare hospitals based on standardized evaluations that all hospitals are required to participate in, handled by third party companys. Heres a link for a comparison I ran of Highline, Valley Medical Center, and Auburn Medical Center. It's probably more fair (athough Valley has big bucks) than comparisons to the larger Seattle hospitals. You'll see Highline falls in the middle, not the best but not the worst, and pretty much stays close to most of the national averages. Definately room for improvement though.

yeah i know about there budget cuts and stuff like that but they been rude for years now and for them to go and remove the bad comments from sites and then side with doctors and the nurses i mean come on now they should own up to there problems insted of giving excuses they laid 85 people a while back but they kept all the rude nurses and doctors and then they used to just hand out prescription for pain killers even if your not in that much pain or not but since they change their polices on pain killers now they accuse there patients of just wanting pain killers no matter what go in for its just bunch of bs iam sorry that you work them like i said there good parts of highline but the ceo's already know of the problems and they do nothing to help fix the problems and i know that Medicare and Medicaid do not pay that much back but every hospital is dealing with that and have been dealing with it for a long time i have even had problems with them trying to double bill like my dad got a bill for a mri that he dident get and explain it to them and show them proof that he was not there and did not get the mri but the still billed him and his Medicare i have all these problems but they still do nothing and to be rude to there own employess that end up in the er is just realy messed up like i don't work there but i walked in there new er right after it open and the nurse go's o i have delt with you before then goes on to talk trash about me to the doctor right at end of the bed and there lucky they where women if had been a man nurse i would hop up and knock some cense in to them the nurse told the doctor that iam some welfare drug seeker witch iam not i have been coping with cronic back pain for over tens now i gone to doctors i have try just about everything help with my pain from going through physical therapy 4 times now and all the otc meds and the non narcotic prescription meds and every once in awile my pain acts up to the point where the only thing that helps is a pain pill like vicoden or perocet but it is only every onces in awhile for a very short period of time becuse iam not trying to get addticed or have other problems i don't like these type of meds but when you have try every thing else what are you supost to do thats what these meds are made for and i follow the prescription so closy like if it says take one every 4 to 6 hrs ill only take one a day and just try deal with the pain the rest of day just to cut down on the risk but when these doctor and nurses see that i have taken these types of meds they think differnt witch is just wrong to do i dont take them for long periods of time i take them as priscibed but they just don't care and even for people that havent taken these meds they still try to tell them that just there for drugs but owell sorry to rant about this but it is stressfull but iam done ranting about this for now i got to get back to fishing i am just trying to warn people about the problems there to let people they are not best there and your better off going somewhere else and hopfully the ceo's won't try to remove these comments
