I still think the state should control liquor.I dont like the idea of every lil store can sell booze. Some of the smaller convience stores will do anything and sell to anyone liquor. They sell to minors all the time. The Moonie store up by me sells fortified beer and wine along with pot and crack pipes.Blunt wraps and rolling papers. Isnt it bad enough that there is more salt and sugar to destroy our childrens lives ,so lets start selling them booze too.

" Liquor and Wine". Read that a few times and you'll see the hidden message.I learned this years ago and its funny.

BTW, I'm waiting to see if Patty thinks sportsmen are worth targeting ads toward, so far, the answer is no, at least for this site. We get these ads served to us from a third party (no pun intended).
Good clarification. I am really tired of looking at Dino Rossi, but if he is paying for ads and Murray isn't then so be it.

My theory on voting is very simple. If you vote you may complain about any political theme you want. If one of those that dont vote, keep your mouth shut.Pretty simple!!! I love to complain so I vote.

I've only had two complaints about the political ads, including one who said he wasn't coming back until the ads were removed. Which is kinda hard to figure out. All I can say is, I hope he keeps his TV and radio off.

The only issue I would take with the Rossi ad is that he has the State Flag in the banner and it's placement at the top of the homepage does make it look like the site is officially endorsing him. However, I am used to be outnumbered on here when it comes to my political views and I'm cool with that. What we agree on is much more important: WaLakes rocks and fishing is a priority in life!

Voting these days is like the old game show "Lets Make a Deal". Do you want box number 1 with all the promises and specials for hunters or perhaps you want whats behind box number 3.Number 3 is full of lies and dishonesty.Or do you want what Carol Marol is hiding behind curtain #5?
One politician is more crooked then the next. Republican/Democrats are all the same. For the most part liars and thieves. Only thing is they do it with the senate or congress behind them. Im not big in the political arena . I do vote. I sometimes vote dem and sometimes repub. I try to vote who I think is good for America not the parties themselves.I just havent seen any really outstanding choices in politics these days. To me it seems to be the lesser of two evils.

sorry, I deleted the early "TB" comment so I've got to be fair and delete the lapdog comment. I remember last year we had some pretty hot tempers flaring with the politics, thanks for keeping it off the forum. It really doesn't do much other than get people POed.

You can delete any of my lines anytime. Sometimes I get too passionate in my typing. You owners and moderators look at these post in a clearheaded way. Thats what keeps this site so awesome.

Oh I don't know. I can be pretty short-sighted and opinionated myself. I hate politics. That's why I'm not even reading this thread. :-"

Totally agree. I suffer from the same emotional typing disorder and would prefer to be edited than to truly offend my fellow fisherman.

Political campaigning has always been negative and sometimes vile. One thing that remains the same is that the same old message is brought to the front each election year. What is different today from many years ago is that they have, as Mike says, "turned it up to 11" We have 100 times more T.V. channels and they play 24hrs a day.

Here are some of the political ads that I can remember from almost 50 years ago.

Here's an interview with Dino about Hunting and Fishing:

http://www.theoutdoorline.com/Podcasts/8.aspx

Right now it's the 3rd from the top. It's good to hear from the candidates mouth what they will do to help our specific hobbies/pastimes/business

EDIT: My ballot went in the mail today!

i am tried of the attack ads there kinda like little kids or high school gossip bs one says one thing the other says another thing they all extend the truth to try sway votes i thinking since dino and murry are being so much like kids we should all Wright in butface for rossi and buger face for murry and also i herd on king5 that between all the ads for all the voting crap there is 61 million being spent why don't instead them running all these ads they put that money into the general fund then we would have less budget cuts and it would help instead of being annoying

The closer we get to Nov. 2, the more ads we see. This has been a record setting year for all advertising. That Supreme Court decision opened up the flood gates. It can only get worse.

Again like I said earlier... Im sick of the ads! Someone needs to come up with a button we can push on your TV that states "I voted" and all the political ads would stop!

Oue Supreme Court Justices ruled, Freedom of Speech. God Bless America.

Can't really put it in the General Fund anyway as it's private money. Or in my case, my Union Dues, ouch.
