It brings up the mental image of two father's, standing in a youth league ball field screaming at each other, while the kids sit down and start drawing in the dirt. One finally looks up at his dad and says, "Can we go on with the game, Dad? I just want to play."

I've had 67 political phone calls in the past 2 weeks. About 2/3 were just recorded (spam to me) attack messages. My mailbox has been filled for over a week with political crap fliers. I'm getting really tired of negative politics. Thankfully I live far enough from the road that the door knocker zombies mostly stay away. I'm also very thankful for the mute button and the ability to change channels on my remotes.
I'm one of those hated independent voters. I always vote the man/woman rather than a party. I cast my first votes in 1966 and about all that I've learned is that if you don't like paying taxes you're living in the wrong country. "Small" government is never going to happen.
