I got a canvas cover for my welder and it was filthy. I srubbed it with degreaser and now it soaks up water like a sponge.
Does anyone know if I can treat it with something so it will shead water again?
Thanks,
Rob

I think Outdoor Emporium, Renton Western Wear and well stocked feed stores like the Grange in Issaquah will have what you are looking for. What you want use is called an Oilskin or Oilcloth re-proofing treatment and it will probably contain linseed oil, beeswax or some combination thereof.

Even Maclendons hardware has what you want. In our business we use a Scotchgaurd brand. The other choice is buying canvas allready waterproofed. Fabric like Sunbrella fabrics. Renton Westernwear definately has it.

Thompsons Water Seal, by far the best water proofer for canvas.
