Rufus Woods Trout Pellet Flies for sale

Post by Big D » Tue May 05, 2009 8:49 am

Excerpt from a report by Dave Graybill, The Fishin' Magician
By Dave Graybill
Good news for fans of Rufus Woods is that there is word that the bite is heating up again.
Dave Altier at Coulee Playland is saying that a “pellet fly” is accounting for good catches.
The fly is pictured below with an actual Trout Food Pellet.
Thanks!

Check out outdoor chris' latest Rufus Wood report dated 19 June about his 400+ fish day using a Trout Pellet Fly.

Hey Swedetster,
You're correct about the amount of smaller fish being caught in Rufus Woods. If we can call a six or seven pound rainbow a small fish. I think that with accidents like the one that happened with Pacific Seafood a couple of weeks ago when they lost another 32,000 four to six pound Triploids it will have a very large impact on the growth rate of all of the fish in Rufus Woods. More fish competing for less food means smaller fish. The last large Triploid that I brought to the boat was actually my daughter’s personal best on a trout pellet fly. It's weight was 12.9 pounds. I figure that it cost me a $400.00 camera so I get to take partial credit for that fish. (See my RW report dated 19 March 09.)
