RE:Help Build The Lake Index Photo Library
You might want to check the existing photos in the lake index. Many lakes already have enough photos - Some lakes have none. Lets fill in the blank spots.

Good point Bob, but many of the existing photos are quite dated, so it wouldn't hurt to update them as well.

That is what I did last July. I found that Ward Lake didn't have any pictures so I went and took some of the launch and then the lake. I found a nice lake that I want to go back to and I even caught some fish.Bob Johansen wrote:You might want to check the existing photos in the lake index. Look for Wannafish A Lure on FaceBook
He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

RE:Help Build The Lake Index Photo Library
Very true - occasionally there is an update on launch ramps or toilet facilities at pubic access areas and on the lake shoreline new homes and docks are still being built. Also, the quality of some of the photos are not the best. I have 311 photos and 125 overviews in the lake index and every one of them could be replaced by better photos or a better overview.hewesfisher wrote:Good point Bob, but many of the existing photos are quite dated, so it wouldn't hurt to update them as well.

RE:Help Build The Lake Index Photo Library
WDFW lists Langendorfer Lake (Stossel Lake) in their fishing prospects site. I don't see either lake listed in Washington Lakes. Has anyone ever fished this lake and if so can furnish proper directions for access?
"this and one or two adjacent ponds lie in the headwaters of Stossel Creek, about six miles northeast of Stillwater. Year-round open fishing season. Look for chunky coastal cutthroat of both wild and hatchery origin. This small, low-elevation (580 feet) lake is best fished early in the season from a float tube or raft. It is accessible from an adjacent logging road."
Any information will be greatly appreciated.

It appears to be also named Swan's Mill Pond. It is a pond on Stossel Creek. Comments on Washingtonflyfishing.com say it is small and the fish are also. Appears to be difficult to get into.

RE:Help Build The Lake Index Photo Library
It is time to send up a photo flare again.
There are now 1,723 photos of lakes! That is really impressive. I doubt there is another site on the internet with that many.
Let's not stop there, if you have any photos of lakes that you have taken recently, send them to Mike. He loves staying up into the wee hours of the morning uploading pictures.[lol]

Great pictures. Thanks for posting them.
I wonder if the state renamed the boat launches and called them "Designated Swim Area" if people would then not use them to swim in.

How did you come up with the total number of photos Marc? I actually counted my photos in the index last year and it was over 300.Marc Martyn wrote:It is time to send up a photo flare again.
